The Hotel is great. There are only stairs. The vieuw on the Loch is fantastic. The staff are very nice and helpfull. You can have breakfast and dinner.

good quiet location next to the loch but thats it.shower inadequate and hard to operate.toilet not fixed to floor.smell of damp.sink blocked.bi fold door to toilet hard to close or open.very dated and scruffy.they have obviously been burning rubbish(including a mattress) outside,under our room.rubbish spewing out of the bins which the gulls were taking full advantage of and spreading everywhere.definitely wouldnt stay here again

The view was wonderful, room clean, and bed comfortable. The place is a bit run down, which is not a big deal to us. But, there was no wifi and, more importantly, there was a sign in the bathroom saying DO NOT FLUSH TOILET PAPER and asking that it be placed in a specially-provided closed trash can.

Everything was perfect! The gentleman at the front desk was fantastic and very warm.

the shower in the bathroom was badly fitted and fell apart when trying to move the shower head .the room was dusty and needed a good clean.as we were only using the room for sleeping the standard was acceptable but could be improved

Prachtig uitzicht uit de kamer. Het bed lag prima en het personeel dat wij hebben gezien was erg vriendelijk. Dit zijn wel de hoogtepunten. Het hotel is helaas flink verouderd en heeft ernstige behoefte aan vernieuwing. De wc spoelde niet goed door, de kraan was kapot, het gehele hotel kraakt waar je ook loopt. Het was helaas flink gehorig en lijkt niet goed schoon. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding ligt helaas niet goed. Je betaalt teveel voor wat je krijgt.

We were running late for check in. They were very understanding and kind to us. The room had a beautiful view and amazing bathroom. Just could have done with a blind in the bathroom window.

Quaint place on our stop prior to heading to Orkney by car ferry! Extra nice customer service and fantastic breakfast

Me and my friend booked this hotel for 3 nights to do exploring in the area! I booked a double economy room with no loch view at a very reasonable priec. When we arrived we were checked in by a very helpful and friendly member of staff who kimdly upgraded us at no extra cost to a loch view room with 2 double beds in it! Which was also a huge room! The room was out of this world, the views were to die for, the beds were so comfortable and we had a large tv. The room was clean with tea and coffee facilities. All of the staff at the hotel are super friendly and cannot do enough to help you. There are picnic benches outside the hotel to sit and enjoy the view. The only thing we felt was lacking was a bar area to sit at. We would definitely stay here again

Friendly staff, and we were upgraded ! Great view of the loch. Road was a bit noisy at times, not bad though. Stayed only a night. Would stay again.

This hotel stay was the worst experience I’ve ever had when staying at a hotel. Arrived 1400 early to check in which was 1500. We walked into a smelly, dirty and miserable reception area which wasn’t manned and we found ourselves waiting awkwardly for staff. After the staff came we explained we were early and asked for a drink while we wait. However unlike the advert says there isn’t actually a bar or a lounge, we were taken through to the dining room to be served a beer and a bottle of cider which we had to request a bottle opener and a glass for. We were then ushered out and told we couldn’t check in for another hour. Upon check in at 1500 we were again waiting for staff to appear, we were given the keys to our room, when we opened the door to our room we were greeted by the smell of damp and could clearly see mold all down the wall above the bed and in the bathroom. We tried to find staff to report this to but again they were nowhere to be seen. We left the place as we couldn’t sit in a damp room and went for a drink and a bite to eat elsewhere. Upon returning we managed to see a member of staff so I requested a new room due to mold and damp, they tried telling me it wasn’t mold or damp rather than apologise. They were totally unhelpful. Eventually I received a new room on a corridor with a carpet that was covered in mold. The room was okay however a few things like handles and taps were broken. We left 6am the next morning.
