The area is a safe environment. Furthermore, the owners are pleasant people.

Dar and Douce is a really nice place. The apartment is big with a wonderful terrace with a seaview. Peter is a very good host, always smiling and ready for any needs. Highly recommended, especially the seaview room at the first floor.

Getting in and out is a nightmare. If you check in later during the day no one is around to let you in. It says on the site that check in is until

The property is very specious. The view is amazing. The bus stop is very close to the property and I only used the buses to go around. There is a beach you can walk in 10 minutes but if you take the bus in 10 minutes you can go to Anse Royale beach which is much nicer.

A Magical Holiday Experience at Dar & Douce, Seychelles Our 13-night stay over New Year 24/25 at Dar & Douce in Au Cap was absolutely wonderful. Despite the rainy season, the Seychellois warmth—both in climate and hospitality—shone through, making our vacation unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, Peter and his daughter Guyanne, along with the wonderful housekeeper Janine, made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail, friendliness, and readiness to help with solutions to any queries were exceptional. Peter’s resourcefulness in arranging car hire, recommending fantastic restaurants, and guiding us towards hidden gems around the island was invaluable. The property itself is comfortable and charming, offering excellent value for money. The peaceful ambiance and thoughtful touches made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Dar & Douce is more than just a place to stay—it’s a wonderful haven from which to experience the true essence of Seychelles. We’re so grateful to Peter, Guyanne, and Janine for their care and hospitality, which turned our holiday into a special and memorable experience. We will be back, for sure. It was a holiday of a lifetime. Thank you!

The place had a great view. Bed was super comfortable, good wifi. The owners were very sweet and helpful. I was even able to book transport with their help. The beach is a short walk and there is a little mini market right next to it. I was also able to walk to the couple restaurants and the Rum distillery. Definitely great value here.

We stayed for 4 days and we really loved Dar & Douce, especially the amazing views from the apartment and Peter’s hospitality. We did not have a rental car but found the place conveniently located for travelling by bus.

Precioso apartamento muy bien equipado con cocina completa, aire acondicionado, caja fuerte, terraza y vistas al mar. Aparcamiento privado. Peter el anfitrión y Janine, muy amables. A menos de 15 min. del aeropuerto. Imprescindible tener coche para poder disfrutar de cada rincón de la.isla y para acceder al apartamento, ya que está en una colina. Relación calidad/precio excelente. Muy recomendable si buscas un buen alojamiento a buen precio en Mahé.

The room was huge, with a kitchen, sitting area, dining room table, large balcony with an ocean view, large bathroom and large bedroom. The hotel is walking distance to some attractions/places to eat and drink, a little grocery store, and the bus stop. Peter is a great host and accomodating, as well. I highly recommend this place.

Excelente acomodação, acredito que o mais difícil seja a subida, mas pode fazer tranquilamente, visto que grande parte da ilha é com este tipo de terreno, apartamento muito completo com tudo o que você precisa! Os anfitriões são muito amigáveis.

Wir waren 5 Nächte bei Peter und wir würden jederzeit wieder hier herkommen. Die Unterkunft ist sauber und war sehr gut ausgestattet. Der Blick aufs Meer ist atemberaubend und man sollte auf jeden Fall früh genug aufstehen und sich den Sonnenuntergang gönnen. Nicht zu übertreffen ist außerdem die Lage der Wohnung. Man ist super schnell am Flughafen und in Victoria, aber gleichzeitig ist man auch sehr schnell an den schönsten Stränden auf der Westseite. Eine bessere Lage gibt es nicht, um Mahé zu erkunden. Würden jederzeit wieder genau hier her kommen. PS: Da in andere Rezensionen der Hügel erwähnt wurde, auf dem sich die Wohnung befindet. Wer damit wirklich Probleme hat, sollte keinen Mietwagen auf Mahé führen. Die Straße zur Wohnung ist normal und überall auf Mahé sind ähnliche Straßen auffindbar, die ähnlich eng und steil sind. Wen sowas überfordert, der sollte lieber mit dem Bus fahren.

It was our first time in Seychelles and the experience was definitely unforgettable and amazing ! The condo was clean, quiet and very comfortable with everything equipped. Location was perfect for us. Close to the beach, dinning and bus stop where we were able to get a bus to any location. Very safe. People were very warm and welcoming and property owners very sweet. We want to thank them for every given day to us and for making us feel home while being on vacation. Very clean too. We have our condo cleaned daily and had new sheets. We will be back and for sure at the same spot.

Perfect location to go around Mahe main island, not too far from the airport and beach! Large bedroom and living room!

Très joli appartement, avec une vue mer merveilleuse. Arrêt de bus à 400m, je recommande fortement. De plus tout le monde est très serviable.

Verblijf van vrijdag tot maandag, was mogelijk om vroeg in te checken. In het weekend is de kamer niet schoongemaakt en ook geen schone handdoeken. Appartement is heel ruim, netjes en compleet. Prachtig uitzicht over de zee vanaf het balkon. Peter, de eigenaar is een heel hartelijke man, neemt de tijd om met zijn gasten om een praatje te maken.

Pleasant spacious quiet

The apartment was very nice. Very large. No view from downstairs apartment. Basic dishes. Sugar, milk and tea provided. Full kitchen. Large bathroom. Iron and ironing board. TV channels in a lot of languages. Sufficient secure parking. Residential neighborhood in the hills. Our problems: It was not communicated to us that we had to arrange an exact time to be at the property to meet the owner for formalities. You have to keep in touch by phone (WhatsApp). You cannot get into the parking area unless someone opens it from the inside. You need a gate opener once you are checked in. The access is extremely steep. Our little manual rental car almost didn’t make it up and in. The living room air conditioner leaked and we had a lot of water on the floor. Since we only stayed for two nights and knew that the owner was busy, we didn’t get it fixed. It gets hot there! You have to keep the curtains closed. We had to leave very early and couldn’t reach the owner. Then you have to have someone keep the gate open and take the keys back to the room and come back to get out. There is no separate door. If you can figure out the logistics, it’s a nice place!
