L’hébergement se trouve dans un petit oasis au bord de la rivière où on peut faire du canoë gratuitement. C’est un véritable petit paradis au milieu des oiseaux. Possibilité de cuisiner sur place avec cuisine équipé. L’équipe sur place est au petit soins, formidable ! Et nous a beaucoup aidé (la station service du village n’avais plus d’essence et nous étions en réserve, impossibilité d’aller à la station service suivante car trop loin, alors ils nous ont dépanné l’essence pour nous permettre de continuer le séjour). Très bonne expérience à proximité de the hoop nature.

Zunächst mal muss man ein sehr sicherer Fahrer auf der Schotterstraße sein . Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und das Haus ist sehr groß. Die Treppe zu den Schlfzimmern eher eine Leiter . Keine Mückengitter vor den Fenstern auch nicht in den Schlafzimmern .Eines hat so eine transportable Klimaanlage . Die Bettwäsche hatte noch gelbe Schweissränder vom Vorgänger doch damit nicht genug — Um 19.00 Uhr fiel der Strom aus und blieb dann auch weg. Ich habe ein Schlafapnoegerät und dem entsprechend eine extrem schlechte Nacht. Man lässt seine Gäste dort völlig allein . Ich weiß nicht wie oft wir die Nummer angerufen haben ,keiner meldet sich . Nach den langen Jahren von Loadshedding sollte ein Generator zur Verfügung stehen. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nicht empfehlen .

Feel the nature! The river, the birds, the frogs - and the milky way. It's one of the darkest places around, so enjoy the view. Also the property itself is very lovely, clean with enough space. You will get 5l of water for cooking, a very good wifi und tv connection (you won't need them). Great place to enjoy some quiet days - the way via gravel roads and perhaps ferry: it's worth!

The property is off the beaten track and Malgas is only accessible via a gravel road but if you want somewhere to escape and enjoy lovely views this is the place to go. The Boathouse is very well equipped with a spacious shower, all required kitchen utensils and surprisingly good wifi despite the remote location. If you are tall the sloping roof may be a challenge. The view of the river is wonderful and there are free kayaks available. De Hoop is around 30km away via gravel roads and you can take the quaint Malgas ferry which is pulled across the river by hand and visit Witsand. This is a great place to escape and chill, just remember to visit the supermarket first, it’s a long way to go to get supplies!

Zeer afgelegen; gps van de auto vindt het adres niet. Bovendien wisten we niet dat we over een speciaal ponton de breede rivier over moesten : sluit om 18 uur! Ze geven ook geen breakfast : het is nochtans een B & B. Fantastische lokatie aan het water en kayaks ter beschikking!
