It was really great trip to Barcelona with Chic and born basic. It is located great sight. Room is fit for young couples, not elders (it is hard to find way to go in or out) But has terrific interior. However, structure is old, so some maintenances seem to be needed (hot water especially) When I ask to change hair dryer, staff kindly bought a new one to change. It was so impressive! Thank you so much

Could have done with a kettle and a safe, but had a nice stay. Quite, comfortable, clean and perfect location

Die Zimmer sind gewöhnungsbedürftig (Glasdusche mitten im Raum) - aber sauber und schön - als Goodie gibt es Oropax, was auch nötig war im Partyviertel. Insofern an alles gedacht!

A bit noisy and not very practical bedroom

Cleaning - terrible They left garbage, dishes and other staff. Broken windows No good AC Bathroom is in the middle of the room, so when someone is bathing, all air is getting so humi Toilet water - it’s a disaster. You need to pump it. It’s awful

Eu e meu marido adoramos o hotel. Localização perfeita, fizemos muitos passeios a pé. Quarto amplo, excelente cama, chuveiro espetacular, café da manhã sem muitas opções, mas muito honesto. Equipe muito gentil e sempre disponível a ajudar. Porém, dou nota baixa para a limpeza. Ficamos 12 dias e nao foi passado um aspirador no quarto em nenhum momento. A varanda ficou cheia de caca de pombo e nao limparam e olga que deixei a cortina aberta para que vissem. A "limpeza" era somente, esticar os lençóis e trocar as toalhas, mais nada. Nota 9,0 de 10,0, afinal são muitos pontos positivos, mas é urgente que melhorem a limpeza.

We really enjoyed our four night stay in this boutique hotel, just before Christmas. The staff were v friendly, the breakfast was good and the room lovely with a great balcony where we could watch the world go by. El Born is great part of the city, many good tapas bars, the Picasso Museum only five minutes away, and many wonderful shops to explore in the small alley ways of the old city. We were unsure why the hotel uses 'Basic' in the name, it is anything but, and is a great mid range hotel with original décor. Our only gripe was the shower basin overflowed ! We did report this but don't think it was really sorted as we could only take very short showers. The plug needs a good clean out guys! Overall though, we highly recommend and would stay again for sure if ever back in Barcelona.

I really enjoyed the hotel. It was perfect for me and my daughters (18 and 20). They had all of these little treats throughout our trip that added some special touches. The only downside was that the bathroom didn't have too much privacy so I'd only recommend going with people you are already very comfortable with. Nice breakfast! Great location!

Die nicht funktionierende Heizung wurde über die Feiertage mit einem Heizlüfter überbrückt. Das Hotel war so chic&basic, dass 5 Bügel der Garderobe einen Schrank ersetzen mussten. Zum Trocknen der Handtücher gab es nichts geeignetes.

Habitación vanguardista y excelente lo necesario para una estancia agradable. El personal muy atento en todo momento. El desayuno es excelente.

Room was ok but smelled when we arrived, although the smell went away after opening the window. We had to figure out a technique to flush the toilet properly because it did not flush just by pressing once. One thing that was extremely annoying was the cleaning people trying to come in every morning, even with the sign do not disturb hanging on the door. On the last morning they did not even bother to knock and she just opened the door which we unfortunately left unlocked (good thing we were dressed already) at 10am. Checkout is at 12pm, so we took our time and had to work, and this person tried to come in WITHOUT KNOCKING three more times between 10am and 11.30am. I don’t think that’s normal. The location is great but please fix your issues with the cleaning crew and toilets.

The room was clean, front desk available 24 hours and very secure. Would definitely recommended a stay here.

Hotel is lovely - it’s in the centre of Born which is a great area in Barcelona to be in. I had a single room which was small as expected, almost like a little studio. The shower was next to the bed which was fine, but when showering the room gets very hot and the air con is very weak at that point. It’s a quirky hotel so I would book it again but def would choose a bigger room instead with a completely separate bathroom.
