호스탈 977

My husband and I loved staying here while in Tarragona! Orlando, the owner, was an excellent host and gave us some wonderful tips to make the most of our short visit!

Vriendelijke man bij het ontvangst, hielp ons met tips in de stad. Kamer zelf was erg klein. Geen koelkastje, verder was alles aanwezig. Iets gehorig (houten vloeren) en ook van buitengeluid. Voor een doorreis stop zou ik ze van harte aanbevelen.

The hotel is located in historic downtown Tarragona with easy access to many attractions, restaurants, as well as to the beach. The only downside is that it could be loud at night. The room is small, so is the bath, for two. It would be nice to have hooks on the bathroom wall for hanging up towels. The common room downstairs is comfy and there’s a coffee machine, hot water kettle. Overall a good choice.

Hostal 977 was amazing. What beautiful spot and so close to everything in the old town. Never needed a car to go anywhere from this spot. Amazing nice and knowledgeable host that explained everything and everywhere to visit! 5 stars ***** + *****

We really enjoyed staying in the hostal. It’s a beautifully renovated old building in a very central location in the old city. Above all, it’s such a friendly place to stay, where the owners took the time to give us tips on places to visit and the local culture. We’d love to come back again sometime. Many thanks for being such great hosts!

Hostal 977 was charming and delightful. It’s on a medieval street just wide enough for a car, but few go by since the hotel is in the old city. Albert, at the front desk, was warm and welcoming. He couldn’t have been a better host. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Tarragona was our first stop on flying from the U.S., so we were exhausted. We slept 15 hours in peace, quiet, and comfort. The décor of the hotel is delightful. Everywhere you look is something fun, charming, or quirky (like the painting of a little mouse and mouse hole on the baseboard of the kitchenette area). We only stayed one night and had to check out at 11:00 - but our train wasn’t until 9:00 at night. Albert was so gracious - he let us come back during the day and rest a bit (we’re senior citizens) on the very comfortable sofa in the lobby, and have a snack on the lobby dining table, as well. We knew that the hotel didn’t have a kitchen, so it couldn’t offer breakfast. But it had coffee and tea and other beverages (including alcoholic ones), plus the room had two delicious muffins for us in a little basket. We highly recommend Hostal 977, and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Albert - or as they say in Tarragona, merci!!!

Genial host. Charming little place(5 rooms). Perfect central location in old town. Lots to see and do, and eat. Cheap parking garage close by. Super- agreeable and suitable for the wife.

Sehr schönes mit Liebe renoviertes Hotel. Das Personal/Chef war sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Absolut zentrale Ruhige Lage. Werden es beim nächsten Nesuch in Tarragona wieder buchen

É preciso ter em mente que se trata de uma pousada, não tem os serviços de um hotel. Nesse contexto, o Hostal 977 é excelente, muito confortável e limpa, o dono é super gentil, solícito e atencioso. A localização também é exelente, dentro dos muros, na parte mais histórica da cidade. Recomendamos.

Perfect for the old town area. Loved the room and facilities. Communication was easy. Booking here will be my first choice when I come back.

Das Hostal war super clean und mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Es ist im historischen Zentrum super zentral gelegen. Auch zum Strand sind es zu Fuß nur 15 min. Lediglich der Hinterhof war morgens etwas laut… typisch Spanisch ☺️

It was a lovely place to stay for two nights. Nice little amenities like the coffee, lollipops and muffins. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

One of the only (maybe the only) hotels in the old upper town. Clearly a labour of love, carefully designed and appointed. On a quiet medieval street close to the primary attraction: the great cathedral. Pre-dates the Roman era, back to the Carthaginians. Only complaint: wifi was erratic with an absurdly complicated password. No need for that!

This was a unique and wonderful place to stay in the heart of the old town. While small, the room and hostel was full of atmosphere and close to everything. I would stay again in a heartbeat. One thing Google directions are wrong but expect a message on WhatsApp from hostel in advance to tell you.

We are traveling around Spain on a 2 week vacation. Albert and his little place was such a wonderful and memorable stop. He was a helpful and kind host. The room was clean and exactly as described in his listing. I could go on and on but I will end by saying that I highly recommend this little gem.
