This property is an oasis in the middle of Columbo. It was serene in ambience and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend for those who appreciate art and a well decorated venue.

Great staff and lovely design to the hotel but sadly there was a lot of build work and the hotel is in a bit of a rough area. Also, would not advise having dinner at the hotel as this is very expensive for small portions. Can not fault the staff though who were excellent.

A delightful escape that feels like your own villa. With the lake and the forests you can forget about big city stresses and relax. It's grand and festive with great food and friendly and helpful staff. All the details have been well thought out making for an effortless experience with little personalized touches.

Amazing gem and one of a kind hotel!

On first arriving outside the property don’t panic as through the gate you enter a different world; a peaceful piece of electric & ethnic designer heaven with the property slightly elevated from the surrounding lake with greenery & nature all around. The service provided is excellent & always with a smile. One small criticism is there are some minor maintenance jobs that are outstanding & could do with attending to in order to secure a 5* review when comparing to other small luxury hotels of that standard. But having said that we will return to the property & would thoroughly recommend it. The photographs shown on the various websites give a good impression of the property. However the true experience excels. Tuk tuks are a plenty for nearby local transport.

Amazing stay on our first night in Sri Lanka. We arrived early and room was ready 2 hours earlier than the expected time of 2 hours. A great place to chill out, we had dinner and breakfast in the hotel and the food was excellent. Kind helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us

One of the most extraordinary homes I have stayed in. owned by an amazing artist who designed both the structure and the interior. Located right on the lake it is a beautiful spot full of wildlife.

I fell in love as soon as I booked it but when I actually checked in I was thrown back!! This house is a true gem, walking in through the gate you don’t see the house right away so I was second guessing my choice. It’s a hidden gem and a true paradise. I was so impressed from the design to the staff to the service just overall amazing. Highly recommend it. they also own the restaurant before you enter the gate which has more food options so dining there was also great. Breakfast was wow!! Trust me 5 star indeed!!

Amazingly decorated place - love it all. Huge home that has been converted to a small hotel. In a very quiet area. Great recommendations for food places - thanks. Staff are very relaxed and quite chilled. Room was adequate - comfy bed . Far too hot with mossie net lowered - even with fan and aircon on the room is quite warm making for restless sleep. Also organised a tour of the city for us.

Amazing stay-what a beautiful respite from the hubbub of Colombo! Amazing little retreat-a little far from city center but this isn’t a bad thing. Would definitely come back here! Food and service were amazing and room was impeccable!
