Maniumpathy is a charming respite from the busy city. Service is warm, caring, attentive and of the highest standard. I highly recommend this wonderful property when visiting Colombo.

Quite noisy

Only 7 rooms. Great unique place. Very friendly staff. Dinner offerings, including quality of menu, could be better. With such fresh ingredients, the chef could have a special of the day. 90% of offerings are spicy. Would lower that ratio.

Beautiful oasis in Colombo: charming rooms, fantastic spa (best massage I’ve ever had!) and I highly recommend the cooking demonstration where the chefs will show you how to make Jaffna curries. A wonderful stay!

A little oasis in the hustle and bustle of Colombo. Everything was fantastic- the food, the room and most of all the staff who were all so warm and welcoming. We were sorry to leave.

Love the property and the Wonderful team. Breakfast options could be improved and takeaway breakfast packaging and options can be improved.

Hotel is a former 100-year old mansion that has been beautifully and sensitively transformed into a boutique hotel. Each of the 8 rooms is individually decorated with the upstairs rooms being especially spacious. Room decor is reflective of the colonial era (teak canopy beds, secretaries, decorative antiques) with fully modern amenities (lovely bathroom, A/C, satellite TV). We had dinner and breakfast at the property. Both were delicious with spice levels matching guest preference. While more limited in services, the pool is lovely, and the location is excellent - close to higher-end shopping and dining options. The staff was also excellent. We felt like we were guests in a family home with an authentically local experience at a refined level.

Beautiful property. The photos don't do it justice. The service is also incredible - everyone who is at the property is so kind and goes out of their way to make sure you're happy. The room was perfect and much better than expected based on the photos. I was scared the room would be a bit dirty with the antique-looking furniture, but I was so pleasantly surprised with how clean it all was. The food was also really delicious.

Stay was amazing. Would highly recommend this as a great alternative to your inner city standard 5 star resorts

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was man sich sparen kann: die hoteleigene Tuk Tuk City Tour. Da sieht man nicht viel spannendes, der guide wusste zudem auch nicht wirklich viel zu erzählen. Zimmer im Hauptgebäude sind wohl recht laut, da sehr nah zur Strasse.

Amazing oasis in the middle of Colombo. Beautiful house with lots of character and lovely staff. The room had its own courtyard and there was a common swimming pool as well.
