Close to the lake, the area is pleasant, clean and we felt quite safe. The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well laid out. The apartment is next to rail station but the noise from trains was minimal and not noticeable. It was fairly small but bright, ideal for a couple. Adequate for a family but with only one bedroom, not ideal. We let our teenage child have the bedroom since we’re early risers. The hide-a-bed was surprisingly comfortable. Sheets and covers were good quality. The kitchen was not really suitable for much beyond preparing simple meals, being pretty small and minimally equipped. The building’s interior was very nice, well appointed and the overall feel coming and going was pleasant and added to our holiday experience. If you’re a couple it’s great. Would work for two couples on the same schedule. For families with kids it would be tight. Comparing with our previous stays around Lake Como, the price is competitive but with so much tourist activity in the region we’ve found prices to be very range-bound. You want more, you pay more or make trade-offs. This unit traded size for location and a pleasant ambiance. Worked well for us. By the way, we wound up parking overnight in the train station, about a three minute walk from the apartment. Worked for us. Cost was 14 CHF.
