Overall, I can say that my stay in taipei oxygen hostel was awesome. It was my first trip to taiwan ‘alone’ because my relative there was not able to meet me. It would have been a nightmare - have no itinerary prepared, can’t speak chinese, forgot who where chiang khai shek or sun yat sen, or its former name: formosa. But I was able to manage and turned it to be a memorable one. One factor would be the good place where to stay. Accessibility. I would recommend this hotel because it has a strategic location - it is a 5-15 minute walk to taipei main station, ximen and ntu subway stations, as well as to some of the city’s landmarks like the presidential building, 228 memorial park, national taiwan museum. Booked my trip/ tours thru klook and glad to note that its location for meet-ups was near or accessible to the nearby mrt stations. Food. This need to be clarified. It should have been with complimentary breakfast but when I asked the attendant, he said they are not serving anymore. Anyways, there are stores near the hotel like starbucks, 7 eleven, family mart for your food or drinks. Next to the hotel is a taiwan buffet, like carenderia in our country. They have great food in there. I ate there during dinner. Service. The attendants can speak english, attentive and responsive to your needs or questions. Rooms/ facilities. For backpackers, it was fine. Your stuff are secured in the locker room. Use the id opening the doors, locker rooms, elevator. The curtain was fine. But its cleanliness and orderliness needs slight improvements. Overall, you can already live there. :)
