If you want to come out crying after your stay, then please choose this place. The pool was dirty. I asked for a room on the ground floor, but they gave a 1st floor room which gave my mother difficulties in walking up the stairs. The AC was leaking. The fan in the room kept turning on and off like it has a mind of its own. The TV was not turning on. There was no kettle in the room despite being advertised. The food was distasteful and gave my father an upset stomach. The surrounding area was noisy because a hall was booked. The owner has two properties under his name and misadvertised this hotel as the other one and I got fooled into booking it. For breakfast there was only one table available, so if you wanted to eat you had to wait for another family to finish eating first. There was a 20 minute wait. Lousy.

Preis-Leistung ist ok. Alles schon etwas älter mit wenig Restaurationsaufwand erhalten. Es gibt einen Lieferservice für Speisen aus dem Serene Beach Resort. Von da kommt auch das Frühstück, irgendwann morgens. Die Organisation ist verbesserungswürdig. Keine aktuelle Speisekarte, Mehrmals nur Teillieferungen. Nur zur Info, das Frühstück ist eher afrikanisch als Kontinental, aber gut. Ich fahre nochmal hin.

The water smells really bad and was so dirty. You cannot take bath with that water. The pool was also the same, not clean and we couldn't swim. The breakfast service was good, and the receptionists were so great

This reservation was an extension of our initial stay at Serene Hotel. The property is a bit outdated, but the staff is friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this stay for a budget friendly option on White Sands in beautiful Dar es Salaam! Enjoy your stay!

Overall, our stay at Serene Hotel was pleasant. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasurable and to assist with any needs. With that said, the property is a bit outdated and the rooms could use some updating. We also would have loved to enjoy some of the property amenities like the outdoor bar, but being offseason, quite a bit was not operating or in use. We recommend Serene hotel for a budget friendly stay with beach access in walking distance. You will be met with hospitality and friendly staff. We would give this property a 4 out of 5 considering affordability and location. Enjoy your stay!

DANGER! DO NOT STAY HERE! Please, this place is a scam. The bar manager tried to extort money from us saying we bought an entire bottle of Bombay Saphire, when we only ordered gin and tonics and had already paid our bill and tipped the bartender. We were harassed in the middle of the night by the bartender and hotel lady. Then when we were checking out the next morning the manager would not let us leave. We asked them to call the police for help, but they would not. Stay somewhere else where you'll be safer.

The Serena Hotel is old with no care for basic upkeep. The services were nonexistant with the exception of the outside bar/lounge that they invested all their capital. Even the breakfast was prepared elsewhere and didn't even have condiments like salt for the boiled eggs. Do yourself a favor and just skip this place. You will regret it if you go.

Hotel ist nur für junge Party Menschen - Laut bis zum anderen Morgen - Für das Frühstück wird man in Schwester Hotel gefahren >> aber für den Rückweg gab es kein Taxi - Badezimmer ALT und verbraucht - Pool und drum herum total ungepflegt - NIE Wieder - Serene Hotel >> Auch nicht das Schwester Hotel - Unterirdisch - LAUT

Don't expect any covid precautions whatsoever. Zero. Internet works in half the hotel - this is a place that is SCREAMING loud until 5am. However, some of the restaurant and bar staff are very kind people.

Serene hotel is a really nice hotel and offers a traveler nice accommodation at a reasonable price.A/C cold,wi-fi consistent and reliable.Very few power outages over a 7 day period.Hotel staff very attentive and courteous. Room maintained and cleaned. Facility safe and secure and no rif-raf at nights. On Sunday there is church held in the conference room for a couple hours however it never disturbed my sleep. Perhaps only complaint I can make is weak water pressure in shower however I didn’t travel here for strong shower pressure lol I would definitely return and recommend
