Love this place. Clean room, lovely breakfast and close to everything. Really friende staff.

Hotel was generally ok. Our check in wasn't the smoothest process (despite arriving a day late) as we were taken to the wrong room. Resulting in a walk back up to the reception whilst they sorted this out. This meant our room wasn't ready and we had to wait around 20 mins for them to prepare it. Being in the only premium room in the hotel we expected a little extra treatment from the hotel but this wasn't the case. The only difference between this and the other rooms is the private pool- which wasn't that big or deep enough to really enjoy. There was no turn down service either which we expected for a 4 star hotel. Meaning that you were left with only 4 bottles of water each day to last until the next room clean. If you wanted more this was extra (as per the sign in the mini bar fridge). Breakfast is basic, with a range of pastries, fruit etc. Easy to walk to the town - around 15 mins and a 7 eleven pretty much across the road. Check out process again wasn't smooth, as they forgot which room we were in, making this unnecessarily longer than it should have been. We were a little disappointed in the price of the room and what we got. Advice if you're thinking of going here - just book a standard room and save your money

Overall a very good hotel, breakfast was excellent lots of choice, I used the gym which again was more than adequate for a quick work out. Location to the beach is perfect although the lagoon is not the cleanest. General location within Chewang beach for us was good as we were away from the main strip which is only 10 mins walk max. We paid the extra for a sea view suite, although plenty of room I wouldn’t do the same again as it was so hot we never utilised the balcony and a garden room would have been more than sufficient and considerably less expensive. Staff were always polite and helpful. Check out was 1pm and my only negative is that there was not a shower room if like us you have an evening flight, but this is a first world issue and shouldn’t put anybody off of staying at La Vida.

The breakfast was excellent! Catered for western and Asian. The staff were super friendly. We had the private pool villa and it was always spotless and maintained extremely well. The hotel is like an Ibiza euro chill styled place with a walk to the beach from the pool - so if that is what you’re after go no further.

Nice hotel overall

The accommodation needed some renovation. Returning from a stressful meeting, I was quite unhappy and even a bit angry when I wanted to relax and found the air conditioning had been turned off. It took over half an hour to get the room to a comfortable temperature for sleeping.

Very relaxing

Excellent location for all of the local restaurants and bars, but quiet enough if you wanted peace. Pool was perfect and a very short walk over a sandy beach to the sea. All staff were lovely. On site restaurant was also great for lunch, evening meal or just drinks.

Room and pool area fantastic. The exterior building is definitely in need of some work. Painting etc. overall lovely stay. Would recommend

Lovely hotel in a good location. The hotel and gardens were well looked after and kept clean. The staff were a joy, so helpful, friendly and willing to go that extra mile to make your stay the best.

Everything was excellent, fab breakfast, lovely staff, fantastic location.

This hotel is located in a quieter part of chaweng but easy to walk to everything. Beachfront is quiet and peaceful. The staff are excellent and helpful. The pool is great, love this hotel

Hatten eine Villa in Strand- und Poolnähe. Es wurde sehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet, das war sehr angenehm. Uns fehlte es an nichts, jeder Wunsch wurde sofort erfüllt. Ein super Team :-)

Je me suis sentie en paix dans cet hôtel, seule avec mon fils de 4 ans, nous nous sommes sentis très bien tous les deux et il est bien placé également, proche des commerces.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, it was simply excellent, beautiful hotel, excellent pool, magical beach with white sand, the hotel allows you to take SUP and kayaks, is on the beach, the main street - 2 minutes and a whole world of restaurants and massages. Bottom line - we will be back again

Check in was slow, plus we were interrupted halfway through while three of them dealt with another customer who just walked through the door. Very odd. The rooms were quite pokey, with quite a strange configuration. No draft beer or beers offered during happy hour, only cocktails. Place is very quiet in the evening - the pool bar is none existent. This hotel is about a 10/15 minute walk to the action, very quiet and quite run down surroundings. For the money they’re charging guests it should be a lot better than it is. I believe they work on a charge as much as you can policy because I doubt they get any repeat business.

Hotel is situated right on the beach, which is lovely. Great sized pool area, breakfast was good. Staff were fine, not overly friendly but not bad. Even though it’s in a busy area you are just at the end so you get no noise from the bars.
