really convenient location; 7 eleven next door & laundry place a few shops down; 10 min walk to the beach; really nice design & layout for the common areas; it is on the main street though so expect the common areas to have a lot of street traffic noise which is pretty loud; rooms have a lot less street traffic noise depending on if it's right by the main street or if the rooms are farther away

The staff was very kind, and the facilities were very clean

Rauhallinen hostelli, jossa hyvä palvelu. Siisteydessä olisi ehkä voinut hieman parantaa lähinnä makuusalissa. Hostellin yleiset tilat olivat kivat ja alakerrassa oli hyvä kahvila, josta sai aamupalaa ja lounasta.

Locatie was perfect, dicht bij het strand en eetgelegenheden!! Er was miscommunicatie met boeking vd kamer maar dat hebben ze bij de receptie goed opgelost! Service was goed! Ze hebben een café bij het hostel waar je heerlijk kan ontbijten, tegen betaling uiteraard. Het is een goed hostel om mede reizigers te ontmoeten!! Mooie gezamenlijke ruimte waar je kan chillen. Alleen gordijn bij het bed kan verbeterd worden, laat te veel licht door.

Very nice hostel!! Clean and comfortable, staff friendly, healthy food. Also really good security; I was surprised that the staff immediately recognized the people who does not staying the hostel. Really felt secure.while I was staying there.

下午剛進房時沒有冷氣電風扇，非常悶熱不舒服，不知道是室友問題還是有規定，當日下雨天氣濕熱外面已經非常不舒服沒想到室內更糟

Great in every way! They even got up at 545am to check me out of hotel nd had. Breakfast packed for me!! Everyone was helpful. Professional and happy!!

One of the best hostels I have stayed at In Southeast Asia. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere with a couple spots to hang out, and kept clean. Mattresses are enormous for Thailand, always have exceptional wifi service, nice shelf, light, and curtain in dorm. Breakfast options are really nice and they include real coffee, cappuccino, latte, espresso...

Toilet/shower room clean. Breakfast -- coffee is good quality 😋 Walk around with 10min to ao nang Beach. For females -- the environment very comfortable.

Everything about the Tan X is on the top of the list compared to anywhere else. Friendly staff, amenities, bed and dorm room sizes, cleanliness. I actually booked for 3 nights and ended up staying total 9. The cafe included breakfast (and other food) is top notch! Job well done for those running the Tan X!

Veldig bra hostel! Hyggelig ansatte og moderne sted. Rent og stort fellesbad (ett for kvinner og ett for menn). Wifi fungerte også utmerket. Frokosten var grei (egg og toast). De andre gjestene var relativt voksne og rolige, noe jeg satt pris på da jeg ikke var ute etter å feste selv. Det var også gardiner man kunne trekke for i køysengene hvis man ville ha litt privacy som også var veldig greit. Anbefales absolutt!

This was definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed at! It is clean, modern, new and good for relaxing, staff is amazing and they do everything to make you feel like home. Food at the Cafe was tasty and reasonably priced. I had a little problem when I booked a transportation trough one of the travel companies nearby. I was supposed to be picked up from the hostel 7 o'clock in the morning but no-one showed up. I learned later on that they couldn't find the hostel and ended up leaving without me, even though I had asked them if they know the place. At the end, staff from Tan hostel X Cafe arranged someone from the company to pick me up with no extra cost and made sure that I make it to the airport on time! Once again thank you for everything and I'll for sure come back here again! :)

The best hostel I have stayed in so far. Bathrooms are spacious - you never have to fight to get a sink/shower. Rooms are cleaned daily. Breakfast is really tasty and so is the rest of the food from the cafe. There is also a shared fridge and free filtered drinking water. Would definitely stay here again!

Easily the coolest and best value hostel/hotel I stayed at among 5 or 6 places in Thailand, possibly the most stylish hostel I've ever stayed in in 15+ countries. The town of Ao Nang is mostly one big tacky tourist trap, but this is one of the few hidden gems in town. The hostel is beautiful and really pleasant to hang out in and talk to fellow travelers. Breakfast is delicious and coffee is top notch. The cafe is open til 6 and is great for lunch and second breakfast as well. The only small changes I would suggest would be improving the locker situation a bit, it's a bit awkward to dig through low lockers on the ground floor under your bunk. The doors can also be pried open somewhat even when locked, so if someone left their phone/wallet on the floor next to the door it could easily be grabbed. Also, serving beer / tea / etc in the evening hours would be kind of nice too. Some sort of paid laundry service would be awesome too.
