Very professional stays d room are very spotless. Locations well situated in the middle of old town Medina. Breakfast is good but it can be more variety for five stars hotel, but definitely I will be staying there again! Thumb 👍

We had a lovely stay, the only bad thing was that it was too short! The hotel is beautiful inside, our suite was lovely, the staff were very friendly and very attentive. We had a nice lunch at the rooftop and ordered breakfast to our room, which was a appreciated service since we had to leave for a flight in the morning. It was very close to the Medina with shops and cafes. We had a nice stroll around and also had dinner at a restaurant with local cuisine. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was very clean and beautifully maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and pleasant. The hammam experience was truly the highlight—it was exceptional and one of the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

This property was superior in every way. There are only 16 rooms, which provides a rare intimacy. The staff went above and beyond from drying my clothes for free from a rainy day to delicious chocolates and fruit left everyday. Beyond all that was the property itself. An old world feel atrium to antique tiles to Medina styled architecture.

Room service : Rapide, efficace et discret. Les plats sont servis avec soin et toujours à la hauteur de nos attentes. Rooftop restaurant service : Une expérience exceptionnelle ! Le cadre est magnifique avec une vue imprenable, et le service est impeccable. Le personnel est aux petits soins et rend le moment encore plus agréable. Propreté : Rien à redire. L’hôtel est parfaitement entretenu, les chambres sont impeccables et très confortables. Geste commercial : Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l’attention et le geste commercial qui témoignent du souci du détail et de la satisfaction client. En résumé, un séjour parfait que nous recommandons vivement. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Séjour magnifique dommage pour le spa enfin je suis un dégoûter ça m’a gâché le séjour

The deluxe room my Mother and I shared was enormous and beautiful. It was about 120 square meters big. Suite 18. My Mom enjoyed a facial at the spa at an excellent rate and the property grounds were flawless in every way. The staff was welcoming and courteous and made us feel right at home 🙏

Exceptional. This is probably the best hotel we have stayed at in over 40 years of travelling. The suites are huge and immaculate. The service is wonderful from breakfast to the turn down service in the evening with fruit and chocolates. The staff are all friendly and helpful in arranging taxis , the airport pickup and the hammam. It’s in a perfect location for exploring the medina with some fantastic restaurants around.We were there for a week and throughly enjoyed it, we highly recommend Dar El Jeld when in Tunis.

The suite is impeccable in every respect , well designed , lots of room and all the amenities one could wish for .. very clean , excellent bathroom that everything actually worked … We enjoyed our stay

Das Hotel war insgesamt ausgezeichnet sehr sauber, schön und gepflegt. Der Service, das Reinigungspersonal und die Sicherheitskräfte am Eingang waren hervorragend. Das Zimmer war wunderschön, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Einzige, was negativ war: Das Frühstück hatte wenig Auswahl, und das Personal beim Frühstück und Abendessen war nicht sehr professionell etwas vergesslich. Zum Beispiel wurden Bestecke nach dem Abräumen nicht automatisch gebracht, und unsere Omelett-Bestellung wurde beim Frühstück komplett vergessen.

The food was ok, but it’s a shame they always have just one soup. Overall, the experience feels too dull. The indoor dining area lacks ambiance—aside from the sound of chairs scraping across the floor (they could really use chair leg protectors). The outdoor seating, while lovely in concept, is often too windy and accompanied by loud, nightclub-style music that doesn’t suit a fine dining atmosphere. A touch of local charm would be far more fitting, especially since all guests are travelers eager to experience the country’s culture. Stronger management, a more dynamic menu, and an ambiance that matches the quality of the hotel would make the stay far more enjoyable. We stayed at the hotel and had breakfast there for six days, truly hoping to feel immersed in the experience. This was the same comment from other guest that we met there.

The Dar el Jeld is like visiting a fancy aunt's house. My Tunisian friend pointed out the vessels that her grandmother would have used to make rose water or store couscous and I noticed the inclusion of local plants (jasmine, prickly pear) in the decor. It was a delight for the senses and we would have stayed more than the two nights if the hotel wasn't already fully booked. The hotel van pick-up was super helpful. Although we were not able to have a late check-out, the hotel did hold our luggage for us, which was much appreciated. Guests are instructed to arrange with the spa and restaurants directly, instead of the front desk.
