I probably should have researched more but this is more akin to a hostel than a hotel - shared bathroom and very steep spiral staircase to get to room (I am fine carrying my baggage up normal stairs but this was tough). The house is on a busy street and is very loud with the windows closed, but because there was no air conditioning had to have them open which made it even worse.

An amazing stay with exceptional flexibility and helpfulness throughout, from check-in to check-out. The charming old mansion, nestled in the heart of Tunis, boasts a beautiful garden that’s perfect for relaxing. The breakfast offered a great variety, and the fresh citronnade was a refreshing touch. We’ll definitely be back! The only downside is that the stairs might be a bit challenging for elderly guests, but everything else was perfect....merci again

Villa Les Palmes was a comfortable and comforting retreat, just as beautifully described. We loved the artistic, eclectic style and the peaceful embrace of the garden – it was such a welcoming sanctuary! Every morning, the breakfast was especially wonderful, a delightful highlight that we looked forward to. Our hosts were welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. We're so grateful for the lovely time we had at Villa Les Palmes.

Everyone here was kind and helpful. My room was cleaned regularly, and staff checked in on me on a day when I felt under the weather. Breakfast was plentiful, healthy, and yummy. And whether you have a big or small appetite, it will satisfy you. I highly recommend, and would book again if I go back to the city.

Der Empfang war unfreundlich und nicht professionell. Es wurde für den Abstellplatz des Autos sofort Geld verlangt. Erst nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung wurde uns das Zimmer gezeigt...... Der Treppenaufgang zum Zimmer ist gruselig- zu Recht wurde hiervon kein Foto veröffentlicht.

Excellent accueil d'Ali et son épouse dans cette magnifique villa du début du XXe siècle. Lieu magnifique chargé d'une belle âme. Petit déjeuner au top avec d'excellents produits. Les repas sont aussi très bien cuisinés. Un beau jardin entoure cette villa, ce qui permet de se détendre au calme en pleine ville. Très bon choix pour passer quelques temps dans la capitale tunisienne. Je recommande la "Villa des Palmes" sans retenue.

I had a great stay here, the owners are very kind people and make you feel at home. I found the room quiet and peaceful and enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings overlooking the garden. Lots of interesting places are walkable from the hotel. Would recommend!
