I booked three rooms at the hotel, a 2 bedroom suite, a junior suite and a premium delux room for 9 nights for my family. Paid over £25,000, We are well traveled and appreciate that mistakes occur even when starting at 5 star hotels, the overriding difference is that hotel is l not like others which recognise immediately that holiday time away with the family is priceless that you can’t get back and to reflect this when things go wrong, instead, this hotels attitude and senior management approach is to argue, disbelieve, attempt to do the bare minimum, to fob one off and ultimately not make right even things go bad. I write this brief review which includes no embellishment with a hope to help others.
Check in took 2 hours, they messed up our booking. Took 24 hours to resolve that.
In the family pool a couple was having sex on two occasions, reported to staff but they were too awkward to resolve. Finally security were called.
The pool area is not controlled by the hotel, club music played all day long at a sitter crazy level that inhibits any conversation , reading or listen to EarPods . Staff ignore requests to moderate.
Impossible to get a fun lounger by pool, staff take bribes from guests to reserve loungers. The pool area opens at 7am yet I would wake up at 6am and almost all were taken.
To sit next to the pool to watch little ones play in the water, you have to pay 2000 aed per lounger.
At end, we were forced to pay charges or be detained by hotel security.
