My plan was to arrive to my hotel, check in at 3pm, and relax a bit in time for the tour I had booked for 5pm that evening. Due to the delay of housekeeping cleaning my room, I was finally able to get into my room at around 3:45pm. I was annoyed because I was tired, and I had a headache, and the front desk receptionist kept telling me that it would be another 10 to 15 mins, and it ended up being 45 mins. By the time I got up to my room, unpacked and prepared to go on my tour at 5pm, it was about 4:15pm. When I got into the taxi and asked how long it would take to arrive to the location of the tour, I was told it would take about 30 to 45 mins due to the rush hour traffic. Needless to say, I missed my tour, and I lost my money. The room was nothing fancy, but the lighting in the bathroom was far too dim. I had to go to the window to make sure my makeup was okay, because even the lighting on the true to light mirror in the bathroom wasn't that bright.
Overall, the hotel was lovely, the staff was great, and it was in a good location, but I was highly displeased with the delay in my check in.
