Americas Best Value Inn Marquette

We were unable to stay at hotel because they had a water issue, but we were not notified about it until we arrived. We get that things happen, but a phone call would have been nice. They were very helpful in recommendations for where to stay instead.

It's an older set of buildings that were renovated into a single building. This makes for an interesting, sometimes confusing layout, but, otherwise, it's a good place to stay for the price. It can get a little cold, since each room has its own heater, until you figure out the right setting for your comfort. There isn't an elevator, so for those that have issues with stairs, you may to request a first-floor room. We stayed here since our regular hotel was booked up, but it's not bad as an alternative if you're coming to Marquette during a busy time since it's less than 10 minutes from downtown.

It was convenient, easy to find in town.love they take pets.very clean building. It has nice rooms, but it was very loud most of the night. The hook on the bathroom door fell off and hit me on the head when i shut the door. Big gap under door, lots of hall light shining in.

Well, the staff was friendly and helpful. And the hotel was very clean…however the shower in the room was tiny. Only enough room for one person to stand couldn’t even bend over to shave my legs, there was no hot tub in the pool area and the bed was the most uncomfortable and hard bed I have ever tried to sleep in. I got no sleep for 3 nights.

Very inviting and cozy with a home-like appeal. I called the front desk to see if there was a possibility of early check-in but had a hard time communicating with the staff that answered the phone due to her foreign accent and another louder conversation taking place in her presence. This was a personal, very dramatic conversation. However, they were able to accommodate our request. The room was very nicely decorated and updated with a comforting touch. Not the feeling of a manufactured hotel. Bed was comfortable. Cons: the noise level! There is next to no insulation in the floors and walls! There was an actual gap between the door and frame at the bottom corner, adding to the noise. Since the shower sprayed all over the floor, when turned on, we used most of the towels to clean up. Despite the sign to leave towels on the floor that you want replaced, no one ever came to our room while we were gone. It was almost midnight when we returned and no one was at the front desk, so we couldn't ask for more. The vending machines were empty. Everything! So we couldnt even get a bottle of water. Lastly, the parking is TERRIBLE! The parking lot is oddly shaped, and the lines are so faded they are almost non-existent, which causes very inconsistent parking, forcing people to park, in the grass, on a hill, IF you can find an open space for that. This also cost us $431 for 2 nights and it's off season. Chances of going back are pretty slim.

Rooms renovated. Very clean. Almost didn't stop because of other reviews. Rooms are clean and updated with no smell as previous reviews state. Bathroom is small and slightly dated, but adequate for needs. Owners are super nice and stay onsite. Would definitely stay again, price was also better than most in the area.

Floor was crooked and on a slope. Tons of drain flys swarming the shower and sink. Shower was so small you cannot move around, I had to kneel down to wash my hair. Huge crack under door so you can hear everything in the hallway. The walls were paper thin, very disturbing. No ice or water available. We spent $250 a night on this hotel and honestly feel ripped off. This should be a $100 hotel room max Saying this property is newly renovated is an OVERstatement. This is a cheap motel with lipstick on it.

Nice location and staff was beyond excellent!

No complaints, entire facility was better than expected. No elevator to second floor was no issue for us but some may have issues with no elevator.

Newer renovations to hotel. Staff is outstanding and very kind. Rooms were nice. Will stay again.

Excellent staff Room was redone but the floor sloped so badly it was tricky to walk. Barking dog. People walking in the hall caused the floor and bed to vibrate.

Nice quiet hotel to spend the night while on a road trip/passing through.

the first thing that comes to mind is no bar latch on the door I know if someone wanted entry, they get in no matter what. no 2 no usb outlets to charge phones and electrical was limited no place to plug breathing machine in. 3 the toilet was so low to the floor you could put a bar on if I would have messed up my balls falling on a toilet, I own the place when i was done. I guess you get what you pay for
