Very clean room. Staff, hotel, parking; all were top notch!

This was a unique, historic property. We watched fireworks from the sitting room and had a magnificent view.

Unique stay, many antiques and medieval furniture and art pieces. Room was adequate, bathroom modern.

We loved our stay at The Castle! Plan to visit again! The room was spacious, comfortable bed, great shower and very quiet. And what a cool place!!

A unique environment...

The Amsterdam Castle is a renovated armory! The renovations were done with efficiency and comfort in mind. Every space has purpose to enlarge the room experience. We loved the decor that made us feel that we were living in a castle. Outside the appointments make you feel that you have stepped back to the days of King Arthur! The great room eating area follows this tradition as well. The location in Amsterdam, about 26 miles west of Albany was close enough to the capital but offered other adventures: Erie Canal trail! The parking was tricky just go around the back and avoid the steep entry way. We highly recommend the stay and experience!

Great room and clean facility

We enjoyed this experience of castle life. It was very quiet and we slept well. Our room was nice and clean. The bed was quite comfortable. Lots of places to dine in the surrounding area.

This adorable castle situated in historic Amsterdam has an unexpected charm that I’m happy I stumbled upon. Antique furniture and classical paintings made me want to learn more about the history of the castle. If you’re looking for a unique stay in the area that will still leave you well-rested, this is the place!

We were looking to stay about an hour from Cooperstown and what a lucky find. The reviews intrigued us and we weren’t disappointed, it was like staying in a museum. The staff was very friendly and the accessible room was set up nicely. Thanks.

This is a very nice and unique place to stay. We were there to stay after a concert at SPAC so did not really explore the town. However, Saratoga Springs and Balston Spa are a short drive away. Highly recommended.

We stayed here 1 night on the way through to Niagara Falls. The staff is friendly, the rooms very clean and the property boasting with history! Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay. It reminded me of all the comforts and hospitality of my grandparents. It also took my imagination to the party scenes in “The Nutcracker” and “The Sound of Music” . Staff was easy to work with and they were friendly!

Wonderfully eccentric decor combined with extremely clean facility, comfortable beds and large rooms. I loved this hotel!

The hotel was a bit disappointing. The room was small, no stand for suitcase, no desk. The bathroom didn't have any counter space. Its fine for the experience of staying in a castle, but not great. Also, no breakfast. Not much in area either.

Definitely lots to like: spacious rooms, comfortable bed, great shower and towels, noise-free ac units. The WiFi reception was terrible - exceptionally slow, which was a real inconvenience. The hotel is a bit out of the way with limited spaces in the parking lot. Lighting in the rooms wasn't the greatest.
