We were there with 2 other friends for the EPIC snowstorm 2 weeks ago. The staff was great for our entire stay. While a lot of places were closed, they remained open. The kitchen wasn't open but they did cook some breakfast food for the guests. Monroe was excellent! We had a fantastic time and will be back when the weather is a bit warmer.

Perfect location near the French Quarter without being in the middle of it. Loved the character of the old hotel building and the secluded patios outside our room door. Service was great.

They moved us to the Monteleion hotel because the HVAC was not working. The Monteleion is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. Unfortunately the HVAC did not work there either, nor did the water heater so we could not take a shower. I did expect a discount for the stay but we did nit.

Front desk was fabulous and made every attempt to be accommodating. Really our only complaint was the temperature of the room. They were entirely to hot and we were unable to open any windows. We did alert the front desk to this issue. They told us the heat and air are centralized so they were unable to turn the temp down in our room. They did offer a box fan, which helped. However, when you spend that much money for a room, you should be comfortable.

I had gotten a room for New Year's Day, and the bombing happened. There was no way to even get to the hotel because all streets around it were closed and the FBI told people to stay away. The hotel would not issue me a refund. I love New Orleans and plan on going again, but not to this place.

Didn't get to stay at the Bienville. They were having HVAC problems and moved all the reservations to the Montelone Hotel (which is a bit dated, room fixtures and amenitites wise). I was really looking forward to the room I reserved with a patio and shower-only at the Bienville House.

What can you say - you’re in the French Quarter & the staff at the hotel was EXCEPTIONAL! Checkin was easy - room was great & shower absolutely top notch!
