A bit disappointed in the spa/pool area. Jacuzzi did not heat up and was in need of re finishing

Even though the building needed a little TLC because of age and usage we still rate our stay as excellent. Reasonasbly priced, decent eatery right next door and convenient to the Sonny Bono Preserve which was our destination. Silly as it sounds I consider the bath towels when rating a hotel. Many have thread bare towels, but the towels here were very full and nice.

I didn’t realize it was such a high complex, mostly workers from the surrounding area so we had a room in one of the buildings in the back. Still, it had good security and good service when we were short of towels. Good substantial breakfast. Nice staff.

I requested a two bed ground floor room as there was no elevator and I can’t climb stairs. At check-in I was told that my room was on the second floor. I told them that that would be impossible. They then upgraded me to a suite and brought in a roll away bed for the second bed.

Positives first-housekeeping and maintenance staff were top notch, friendly and though…. Front desk staff were “chilly”… hotel charges an addition $9/day for “misc” expenses(don’t remember the exact reasons) that is not disclosed to Expedia…there was no easy chair in the room, only a desk chair, unusual … breakfast was slim pickings after 7am
