Candlewood Suites LAS VEGAS - E TROPICANA

Everything was good.

We did not end up staying because my friend that was joining me was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. This diagnosis came after we had made the reservation. The unfortunate policy of both Hotel.com and the hotel itself is no cancellations allowed regardless of the reason unless you purchase the insurance. It’s a terrible policy, but it is what it is.

Good no hassle spot about a 15 min walk to the strip. (New York/MGM side) it’s an easy in and out typical hotel parking (you pay $20 a night for) so you don’t need to walk miles to get to your room. The hotel rooms are big and clean. The lobby had a slight smoke smell but it is not in the hallways or rooms at all. Get the top floor. You do hear those above. Shared pool. Tip: when walking back from the strip walk through the MGM and follow the signs for the Lobby. You exit there and cross the 4 lane road at a traffic light to get back.

Staff and amenities were great, very close to the strip. I booked this hotel because it had a separate bedroom as we were travelling with two teenagers. I was expecting a normal quality pullout bed for the kids but the mattress was extremely thin and the length was for a kid aged 10 and under at most so one teenager slept on the floor which was actually more comfortable than the thin pad on the bed. If we didn’t need the pullout bed, everything was great.

Room was spacious, but room upstairs was very noisy with their steps, running kitchen ds late at night and early morning. Wasn’t able to sleep the whole 3 days. Front desk couldn’t help.

The staff accommodated that i arrived so late after we had to leave the horrible next to it.

I was super impressed with the gentleman that checked me in. He was so kind and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. I didnt catch his name but he deserves a shout out! He checked us in around 7:30 PM on 11/2. Hopefully you can let him know he is fantastic!

This is a property to consider if you are planning to stay by the end of the Strip. Walkable to MGM and Mandalay Bay about half a mile. Stayed here to watch a football game at Allegiant and just hoofed it up to Mandalay Bay with the footpath to the stadium. Full kitchen with a cooktop, microwave, full fridge snd a dishwasher. Very much recommended

Front desk staff is amazing! One red haired diva is so wonderful! So sweet and accommodating, remembers your name and what your needs are and as a returning guest it is quite fantastic
