Good But parking lot was bad..

the only issue was wifi not working on the rooms

We LOVED this property! The only reason I didn’t give it the highest excellent rating is for two reasons - one is the first night the mattress was absolutely miserable. But the next morning, we went to the desk and shared that and by the time we got in for the evening, they had addressed the issue and we slept like babies the night they fixed it. The second reason is because the bathroom door is a sliding barn like door that didn’t really provide privacy - when you slid it as far as it could go, it left a big gap that faces right into the bedroom area. But it’s near some really cool things and a short drive to West Village- Uptown. We’ll stay there again!

Cool hotel in old historic building from 1910. So close to downtown. Very comfortable room and bed. Modern mixed with industrial. Friendly and helpful staff. Very cool roof bar and pool. Food was fresh and delicious. Will stay again.

This property was a huge surprise; the chain is up and coming and should replicate their success across the country.

This is by far the best place to Stay for a birthday stay! O Enjoyed everything about Canvas. Nice staff and my go to stay

Great stay

The property was in an excellent location for our purposes though not in the best part of Dallas. We took some comfort that the police station was just across the street. The price of the room was quite reasonable. The physical property was clean, the staff very courteous, and we were impressed by the mixed industrial, mid-century decor. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the pink mid-century modern refrigerator was a hoot. Anyone who stays here should take advantage of the hotel restaurant, Hamilton’s. The prices were more reasonable than most such venues, and my meal (grilled redfish) was the best I have ever had in a hotel. The chef was a genius with composition and mixture of flavors on the plate. Self-parking in a patrolled lot next to the hotel was another plus for us. We would stay here again.

Very nice property. Clean and had everything I needed. The rooms are huge.

Staff and property exceeded my expectations. Front desk check in was fluid, room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed dinner at the downstairs bar ending in a good night's sleep. A+ accomodations.

Great property, only negative would be that sound travels from room to room, only an issue if you happen to get a loud neighbor.

Great place, comfy and big rooms, my only complaint is that the lobby smells so strongly of air freshener, a cheap cologne like smell that is strong and offensive. Thankfully it was limited to the lobby, but both the bar and the restaurant seemed nice and I would have liked to spend more time at both had it not smelled so strongly.

We needed a cozy, comfortable spot to decompress between the visitation day and day of my father-in-law’s funeral. The Canvas really delivered. The room was warm when we walked in which was welcoming due to the cold weather. Check-in was quick and easy & they explained everything to us. The bartender/waiter was fabulous. He took great care of us and even brought me a small heater when I got cold. He allowed us to move from the restaurant to the bar/lobby and checked on us frequently. We never had to worry about anything. The chef came out to check on us as well. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the room as well and the bed & pillows were comfortable. The drainage in the pipes from the floor above us surprised me, but you could only hear it in the bathroom. The rooms are kind of loft style so exposed pipes means you hear them. It wasn’t bad, I just didn’t expect it. We look forward to coming in the summer to enjoy the rooftop pool, fire pit, and bar!

Property sits on a noisy street (street racing between 2am and 4.30am), windows are not soundproof making sleep difficult.

Loved it 7-11 across the road was a bit sketchy but otherwise a great stay

Good quality price hotel, very spacious rooms. Everything was great except for the hot water which was not hot and more like a little warm. Other than that service was great, they offer bottles of water and free parking. Not more around the property and a bit noisy outside with truck and people screaming.

The Canvas Hotel was beautiful!! We absolutely loved every second of it. The hotel had an infinity pool, pool table, shuffle board, beautiful art work, and so much more. We definitely will be booking again.
