The property is lovely and all our meals at the hotel were delicious. The rooms are up to date but the outside shows wear and tear from the salt air. The valets and bellmen are great -- very attentive and helpful. Housekeeping seriously lacking. We were there for 5 nights. First day no housekeeping. Second day room not cleaned by 4 pm. Management apologized and made some concessions and sent housekeeping up. Third day no housekeeping by 4 pm but spotted a housekeeper who refreshed the room. Fourth day housekeeping - yay! Fifth day no housekeeping and I told them to forget it. Again spoke to management and they were very generous but missed the point. When you pay almost $1000 a night you expect your room to be cleaned daily by the time you get back from your activities and want to change for dinner. Also when you have a guest who has expressed concerns about service, you would hope the housekeeping supervisors would check up so it does not keep happening. I am not a complainer and not looking for concessions it's just with all the swimming and sand etc you go through towels, you want a new roll of toilet paper, a new box of Kleenex etc and at the rates they are charging you should get it. When we chose to stay at a less expensive hotel for night or two because it's the closest to family and are not in the room much we often forego housekeeping completely. We hang up/reuse towels etc. The hotel was recommended by friends who must have had a better experience.

The check in was not a great start. When we arrived at 3, we were told our room had been cleaned and was ready, but needed to be "inspected". It was not inspected until after 4pm- which was check-in time, but we had to ask at 4 and again at 4:15. I maybe should've slipped them some cash to get the inspection done. So that was a frustrating start. I am all for paying for a nice hotel, but here you are paying for location and views....the property is a little "beat up" over the years- the elevator barely works and new paint is sorely needed. We had an ocean view room, but the balcony situation was not private- you could inhale our neighbor's cigarette smoke or join in the crystal clear conversations being had next door. To top it off, we were billed someone else's breakfast and had to spend some time sorting it out and it was taken care of. We enjoyed Key West, but there are definitely better places to stay the the Casa Marina.

Location is great and beach area is beautiful, however, the restaurant food was overcooked and bland, and the drinks were very expensive ,as was the coffee. Housekeeping was horrible. We had to request towels after they didn’t clean our room for two days in a row.

Housekeeping emptied out one of 2 rooms during our stay, FOUR NIGHTS IN A ROW. They threw away Apple air pods, prescription glasses, contact lenses, sweatshirts, swimsuits, and pajamas. The first day my daughter stepped on a staple in the kids turf area. The staff is very unprofessional minus one front desk agent. The managers lied about refunds, and I still haven’t received items from the dry cleaners that they promised they would overnight to our house. This hotel literally ruined a family vacation. Avoid this hotel like the plague.

Our 1st time to Key West, beautiful weather, beautiful view, most all the services were helpful and informative. The Casa was just too busy with events to true enjoy the property and be relaxing.

The gentleman at the front desk when checking in did not greet us. He sarcastically stated when asked if we had a view he stated “you have no view” like he took pleasure. Did I say no one offered to carry our luggage to the room. My mom is in her 70’s. Floor was dirty. We walked barefoot and out feet were black. We asked for a bottle of water for our trolley trip and the guy said “ we are out, if you need water that bad you can purchase in Morrisons. I felt like a second class citizen. I stayed there last year but this year was worse w staff.

Elevator was down and beeping by my room all night long. Room service food was overpriced and OK at best. Seafood pasta came with three shrimp and three muscles and cost over $50. My food didn’t even come with water. Great place to have a wedding unless you’re not in it, to go to the beach, pool or lobby I would have had to walk right through the wedding or stand and wait until it’s over, which I did. My room had no cups for coffee and all the coffee pods were decaffeinated. Not a big deal if you like waking up early, but the roosters outside start crowing around 6:30 AM. I just think all of this was too much for me not to review or return.
