I have stayed in several different hotels in the Charlottesville area, on my visits there over the past 3 years. This was my first stay at Clarion Pointe. I was pleasantly impressed with the whole experience. It had everything that other more expensive hotels offer, but the Clarion offered a very attractive price. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. I will definitely stay at the Clarion Pointe on my return to Charlottesville, and I will recommend this little surprise gem of a hotel to my family and friends. Thank you, Clarion Pointe, for a lovely experience!

Front desk staff was welcoming and pleasant. Gave me keys to an already-occupied room, which was shocking and embarrassing for both my family and the occupants of the room. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower water pressure was great, but we saw two cockroaches. Breakfast was good, but was not opened on time.

The beds were softer than other hotels we stayed in.
They did not have a pool.
The wifi was horrible, plus they didn't give you a password to use. When we tried to call down to the front desk, the phone didn't work.

It was just okay. The bathroom had a strong bleach odor, which I guess is good that it was clean.
We left for the day at 10 am, came back by 11 that night and our room was never cleaned and we weren't given any fresh towels.
The walls are VERY thin. We could hear the conversations of both of our neighbors who weren't being loud at all.
Breakfast was simple but good. Staff was friendly. Ample parking.

They overbooked the hotel and didn’t have a room for us. They called at 7pm leaving us with nowhere to stay as every hotel had sold out. The front desk staff was very unhelpful.

Staff was friendly and our room was clean. The building really could use some upgrades. The elevator was a tad sketchy, the bathroom doesnt have an exhaust so after a shower the whole bathroom is dripping with condensation, the TV options were lacking. Overall the stay was fine, but the hotel needs to invest in some upgrades

Overall fine stay with one exception. There was a minor fire ( that could have gotten bigger) in the breakfast area and the person at the desk did not know what to do.

One night stay......Great experience with customer service. The room was clean, but late at night i woke up to bad smells throughout the room...like a toilet or sewage backed up. The smell was gone by the morning and everything in the bathroom seemed ok.

Had real need to check in about 2 hours early (@2pm). Desk clerk flat refused said manager said no - he would be fired. Manager "out-to-lunch". Had a non-refundable, had to change in a rest room. Then once in room, door to bathroom would not close without lot of force. One and done place.
