Comfort Inn & Suites Pittsburgh-Northshore

This property was very convenient to the PPG Arena where I needed to go this weekend and also very good in price.

I'd stay here agains

Terrible not kid friendly wouldn’t recommend for no one in the middle of the hood

We were greeted by the kindest service at the front desk! Our rating is a 5 for the fabulous workers! Unfortunately, there were other issues. We were excited to swim in the pool-but were told it was ‘green and grainy’ and they suggested we did not swim (though, there was not a closed sign on the pool). Additionally, when we came down for breakfast at 8:45am (open until 10)-it was cleaned out! 1 lonely muffin, 1 bagel and a huge line of hungry guests waiting for more food to arrive. The bedding did not feel as clean and had stains, but the towels and bathroom were fine. We travel to Pittsburgh at least once a year and stayed in this area due to a car pick-up. I think it is safe to say we will look elsewhere next time.

Overall we had a comfortable stay. We only stayed one night as a way to avoid early morning travel because my wife was having surgery today and we live a few hours away. Only complaints are the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, the shower door leaked, and the parking lot was icy and didn't look like anything had been done to it at all.

Not as walkable as we are used to, but we are happy with our stay here.

Well for starters walking into the hotel you were punched in the face with the smell of Marijuana. It made me nauseous. When we got to our room there was a pile of sheets and towels (used) in front of our door that we have to walk over to get into our room. Our room was okay, although no hair dryer was present and the safe was unable to be used. Lastly, went down for breakfast and it was cleaned out ! Nothing was left it was eaten all up and the staff was not even restocking it. So needless to say I did not get to eat any breakfast. Literally there were not even any scraps for me to grab, no bread no bagels nothing ! I anticipated eating breakfast at the hotel but instead I had to go out and buy food.

Great staff. The rooms are clean but are ready for an update. It was a busy night so noisy at times but the rooms are quiet.

The water never got hot, and no one would answer when called the front desk, i walked down to ask for a roll away bed and they never brought it and was never brought the extra towels we needed. Its location was the best thing about the hotel.

The hotel it self was average and clean. No hot water in shower. No hair dryer but front desk accommodated me. Had to pay for parking I was unaware about. The breakfast was average and clean area. Just wasn’t crazy about location I thought it was closer to the stadium. The price was super expensive as well $180. I could have stayed closer cheaper but you live and learn.

The hotel room was spacious and beds and bathroom were clean. Beds were very comfy. Biggest complaint is that the room definitely smelled like cigarettes, especially the bathroom. Seemed almost like someone was smoking heavily above us and it was coming through to our room. The leg to the desk in the room was broken, and there were food crumbs in the nightstand drawer. Not the end of the world but seems maybe housekeeping doesn’t may super close attention to the little things. Not far from downtown and easy to get to.

Overall great stay - only negative was not knowing we needed to pay for parking ahead of time/would've rathered paid when we booked the room

Great place, super convienent!!

It was smoke free but smelled like weed. The kids were super noisy all day and at night. There were a lot of screaming kids using indoor pool. It is downtown with one way streets but I was charged $16 a day times 7 days to park on the property which I was not told about. I was told after that I could park on the street and walk if I could find a spot. The staff was friendly and did bring a hair dryer to my room when I asked.

Nice Hotel to stay at

The area around the hotel is a bit sketchy. Abandoned buildings and such. Dark streets. Highways. I didn’t feel particularly unsafe, but it wasn’t inviting. Hotel is very nice, affordable, very clean. Breakfast is included, and convenient parking is very $reasonable. Rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom is very modern and pleasant. We’ll probably stay here again on subsequent trips to see our daughter, who just moved here.
