Needs updating and not in the best area

My stay was excellent. Staff was very nice.

They lock their doors so if you’re checking in late you are waiting for someone to come unlock the doors for you to check in. Right next to a bar with loud music.

The hotel was clean and appealing. It is close to downtown, within walking distance. The room was also nice. The heating system in the room wasn’t the best. The temperature was hard to control and the unit was blowing the air directly across the 2nd queen bed in the room. We had to use pillows to block the air so we could sleep.

This hotel was absolutely terrible. The parking lot was icy as hell. The tv in the room did not function and we had no hot water for showers and the sink. The floor in the bathroom felt like you were going to drop right through it. I will be contacting the BBB ( Better Business Bureau) to file a formal complaint.

Was an ok stay up until the morning of checkout. The 4 days we stayed we shared this 3 floor hotel with at most 2 other couples. Parking is right out front so easy to see who comes and goes. (This hotel is run by an India family who does all the cleaning and hospitality themselves, overall nice people with no outside help) I was even going to leave a nice tip since they cleaned our room when we requested.. till morning of checkout. Checkout is 11am. They come by the room and open up the door, no knocking and ignoring the do not disturb sign on the door and this happened at around 6 or 7am. They know we are still there our truck is parked where it has been the last few days visible from the front desk and were the only ones there. If that was all., I could have brushed it off but what did they do next… in this empty hotel they decided to start working on the door directly across the hall with a hammer drill for the next two hours. Intentionally making this noise repeatedly over and over again. Making the wind sound when you barely press the trigger followed by 2 or 3 loud knocks of the drill turning over. Just truly beyond disrespectful. Also fyi check your mattress, ours did have bed bugs in the past. Thankfully it wasn’t a current issue. (I’ve had to deal with them two different times in my past and not anything to be taken lightly, please be cautious)

The bathroom floor tiles where broke the stopper in the tub was broke and walking in the floor was dirty.

Clean, comfortable and good location to WMU.

Desk staff was nice. The bed was comfortable and room was decent. The bathroom floor was broken and not the cleanest.

The lady working the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. I felt bad for her because she was the only one running the front desk and trying to keep up on the breakfast area. The hot food options were empty and the counters/tables needed wiped down. I would’ve loved to help her out if I could. Our room was clean, but I came home with several bites. I think they were spider bites, not bed bugs. This was the second time I’ve stayed here because it’s a convenient spot for visiting my son at WMU, but I will not book there again.

Decent place, breakfast was eggs and waffles and such, very clean but area outside has vagrants hanging around to sneak in side doors

Room was clean. The weird thing is you had to go to front desk to get remote for tv. I thought it was just our room but others in my party had to also. When I tried to use remote back at room it didn't work. Breakfast was okay, cereal was stale.

Delightful housing close to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore visitor center and walking distance to restaurants and beach.
