Comfort Suites Fultondale I-65 near I-22

Check in was smooth Breakfast attendant was nice Hotel was clean. Now for the not so nice opinions. Pool is very small and the area needs to be cleaned. Seems very gritty with old dirt and the chlorine was so strong the door had to be propped open. The water pressure in the shower is very weak. The furniture should be replaced as our had graffiti that made us not want to unpack our things. Was looking for a family hotel so kids could swim for my sisters bday. Honestly would not stay here again

Dirty bathroom. Refused to take a shower as it was gross. Floors and furniture felt gross but the bedding was clean and the bed was comfy. Just needs ALOT of TLC.

I meant to book comfort inn and suites hotel didn’t realize that there was a comfort suites down the road so I had to walk another half mile carrying my luggage and cross six lanes of traffic

There were roaches in the room. The hotel is old, beds are squeaky. Just overall, an uncomfortable hotel

The lobby and breakfast area was neat and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. However the room was anothe story. The tub faucet dripped, the tub drain was very slow to drain when showering. The bed creaked/squeeked every time you moved the least little bit so sleeping was a challenge. The bed was too close the heating/air conditioning unit, making it difficult to get on one side of the bed, etc. I cannot recommend this facility.

Staff helpful. Just smell when they clean your room. Use better cleaning stuff.

I will start by saying we were a same day booking and supposedly we got the last room in the place. We ended up in a handicapped room. If this room is any indication of how Comfort Inn is treating its disabled guests, I would hesitate to stay at any Comfort Inn from now on. The room was clean, and that's the only good thing I can say about it. The beds were high off the floor and the bases were made of metal so anytime we moved it sounded like the metal they used to create a thunder sound effect in old movies. There was no internet connection in our room. It worked in the hallway, but not the room. The person on the night desk was not helpful and couldn't figure out how to fix the internet or how to get us a late check out time. The worst was the shower though. It was a handheld shower with no tub which, of course, makes sense in a handicapped room, but it was a slow trickle with no pressure at all! Yet somehow, water still ended up all over the floor. My husband and I suffered through, but my kids were unable to take showers. I can say that breakfast was good, and I'm sure that other rooms in the hotel were probably fine, but I am sorry for anyone that actually needs this room for its purpose. It was obvious that keeping the handicapped rooms updated is not a priority for this hotel.

Don’t recommend

Staff was great. First night we had no hot water but the next morning they fixed it immediately. We came back from a wedding with 3 containers of food and they kept it in the staff fridge overnight. Thank you.

The staff and front desk were friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, but too high off the ground for an average height person. It was difficult to sit on the bed. We had to sit on the couch. A few things were not replenished during the housekeeping clean that we had to go to front desk and ask for. The continental breakfast was included and we enjoyed the variety of food and it was very good. I rated it a 4 star for the above reasons. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here.

Tv didn’t work. Door was falling off hinges

We stay here every year on our way to Florida. It is a nice area, safe, quiet, and convenient to anything you need for the night break.

Clean and presentable for any family to relax.

There was a bad smell as soon as you entered the hotel and it continued down the hallway and into our room. The internet did not work in our room. There was a silverfish crawling on the wall. The toilet did not flush. The shower had barely any water pressure and the water was barely lukewarm. Breakfast was good, but nothing else about the property could remotely justify what we spent to stay there.

Close to restaurants, great staff customer service. Breakfast was great except chocolate waffle (one you can make with their waffle maker) tasted sour, we had to throw it away. Hotel room door was damaged, difficult to open. You have to push it with your whole body in order for it to open. No hot water! Bed made noise (metal banging) every time I got up or moved. Old AC made a lot of noise and we felt warm when AC stopped making noise.
