the staff is very friendly… the hotel in general is good perfect location and big room… but need better conditions… i think is in renovation… but is convenient and cheap

After reading terrifying reviews I was surprised how nice and clean my room was. It’s not 5 star hotel - it’s budget friendly and I’m happy with that

The staff here is very friendly and easy to do businesss with. The hotel has a very relaxing and laid-back feel and I felt comery comfortable throughout my stay here. The same cannot be said about other hotels I've recently experienced where the staff/management can be cold and unwelcoming. I highly recommend staying at Desert Lodge.

The blankets had holes because they were burnt, the lamps were broken, the deteriorated furniture had burnt marks of cigarettes. The trash bins around the property were overflowing. I was afraid the beds could be infested with bedbugs but apparently that didn’t happen.

Be honest, this property is not perfect. You get what you paid for. But the bed is comfortable. No bed bugs. Microwave and fridge in the room. That asve you money if you don't wanna eat out. This place is fine if you are a budget traveler.

The hotel looked run down when I pulled up. I got into town early and tried to see if I could get an early check in. They told me I could not (which is fine) and said the room would be ready at 3:30 even though check in was 3. When I came back to check in I grabbed my room keys and proceeded to the room. I walked in and the curtain rods were broken, the room looked awful. I didn’t even want to put my things on the bed. I look in the bed and someone’s hair scrunchy was still in it with a lot of their hair. I was maybe there for a total of 5 minutes before I booked another hotel down the street and left. I have stayed at hostels nicer than this.

I don’t ever trust the photos, but these ones are so far off from the actual it’s almost fiction. That said, no bed bugs or pests but all in all not clean or well kept. The owners stated they just bought this place and had plans to upgrade and clean up. For the price point though it’s not good value for the money. The owner is super nice and I do hope they upgrade and clean up. I wouldn’t stay there again unless it was upgraded.

The property does not look as nice as the photos. The pool was dirty, there were cigarette burns in the blanket that had been sewn closed. When we requested a new blanket, it arrived in the same condition as the first one. The bathroom was unkept and we had to ask for a microwave. There is no coffee or tea station. Upon trying to check out after 8am, we couldn’t reach anyone. There was a had written sign to ring the bell but the bell was just a broken piece of plastic. There was a phone by the office and in the room. Tried to call 0 to reach someone and it rang busy. Ended up having to leave the key in the room with the maid service sign on the door. The staff were kind but it’s not somewhere I would stay again unless desperate.

The room was dirty. The beds and sheets were dirty. The bathroom was in terrible condition. We asked for sheets to be changed but the lady on staff got very angry. Bad service.

Homeless! Unsafe! The building is old and disgusting The bathrooms are a disgrace, lots of noise I felt unsafe and did not sleep the entire night!! Shocking that in Palm Springs to have such a hotel

The owner was very nice and welcoming. The overall property was pretty run down on the exterior. My room was clean and in decent repair. The cable didn’t appear to work on our television. We didn’t bother making an issue of it. The beds were pretty saggy. It was quiet. I don’t think I would return but the experience wasn’t terrible and the price was very low compared to other hotels in the area.

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. I have never stayed in a place this cheap before... The main picture is when the place opened it is not what the place looks like now... Half of their rooms are remodeled and the other half is sooooo shady and has holes and poo stains on the floor... I was lucky to complain and got a better room but, what?... It was a place to rest my head and sleep at night.. but once daylight hit i was out and about... I do not recommend this place to anyone who can find a better place to stay... DO IT! again Pictures are not up to date!

The property is dated. It looks like something out of 1960. Old beds, old furniture. Dated bathrooms. One of the pools was drained. Not that I went there to use the pool. I did not interact with any of the staff so I could not rate it. Only when signing in and I think it was the owner. For approximately $200/night, I respected more. I even used up my travel credit.

Room was felty barthroom was used I found. Bedbug on the both bed mattress was felty really was horrible and to expensive for the price I don’t book that hotel any more and I don’t recommend at all .

This property needs major renovations cleaning and repairs. AC unit took six hours each day to cool down. The curtains had many holes including burn holes. There are no screens on the windows. No bathmat. No hand towels. No washcloths. Mold on shower curtain. Hot water took at least five minutes to arrive. Shower curtain rod barely stays up. The microwave was missing a leg. The tv stations would freeze up every 10 minutes or so. The floor was dirty. Under the bed hadn’t been swept. There’s no security peep hole or chain lock on the door. There’s no ice available, machine is broken. Pool had much floating stuff from trees.
