I love the ambiance of these properties; the inner courtyard is beautiful with very elegant details. This property included a flowing creek full of koi that our boys loved to watch. My only complaint is that that it smelled like weed everywhere we went and it seemed like it was often coming from the staff. Just a bit off-putting for me personally.

Liked the breakfast, hotel design and the front desk attendants.

The room was so hot when we got there. I tried to call the front desk and none of the telephones were plugged up to the wall. Finally got someone via text and they came up to check air and said they had just turned it on right before we arrived. It was 95° outside and we had the huge 2 bedroom suite so it was not going to cool off quick. I asked about fans and was told they didn’t have any so I had to Instacart $70 worth of fans to the room to only be told later they did have fans. I am a Hilton Honors member and was not even offered the breakfast, evening drink coupons at check in. I had to specifically ask for that. They tried to help with air but no way that room was going to cool down any and he said since I booked through a 3rd party aka Hotels.com he could not refund me anything to help compensate. There was also no bedding for the pullout sofa nor a hair dryer in either bathroom. They finally brought that up and the hairdryer bag had a nasty hair brush inside of it. The 2nd bedroom also had a huge air bubble under the wallpaper like water damage maybe. I wish I’d listened to the reviews but we needed 2 bedrooms and this was the only hotel that offered that.

love Embassy Suites. Only problem on this trip, hopefully not all locations recently, but they use flimsy styrofoam plates and cheap plastic utensils. minor inconvenience obviously, but not my favorite. Room was awesome. Free drinks during happy hour and the breakfast is always solid. Staff was super nice and friendly. would definitely stay there again but didn't love the plates and utensils

Dirty under construction did not tell us no food available only expensive steak house

So the place is under construction so there was that. The pool was out the three days we stayed which was one of the reasons we picked this hotel. The bathroom exhaust fan was louder than I have ever heard one before and the waffle maker was broken the whole time. Room clean and nice will look at other hotels when we come back which will be often my wife now see the doctor in Birmingham.

I made my reservation on Expedia and when I arrived they said they didn’t have a room. I arrived 4 hours after check in. The reason we booked here is because the room could fit my family of six without having to get two rooms. I was offered two rooms but we were all separated. No main office they had a makeshift check-in in the lobby.

The woman who checked me in was very sweet. The room was nice. Everything was clean. Parking was great. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay here again.

We were okay with the property itself and the atmosphere. Very open centralized lobby with beautiful live fish and waterfall. Noticed the handicap sign was run into, pushed over (bent) and not fixed. We arrived during rain, and the roundabout door was not functional. Side doors to main entrance were not CLEARLY visible. Once inside, it was clear that renovations were underway for the main desk. The 2 desk attendants were very consumed with 1 guest and a lot of communication via a walkie talkie. Once we were addressed the male subject was very friendly and informative. Our room upon entry, appeared spacious and inviting. Extra bedding was already provided for the sofa bed. The bathroom was well lit but, it also was the most disgusting finds. From a shower which hadn't been cleaned, visible body hair, markings from previous guests bath bottles, an EMPTY shower gel and hair conditioner dispensary, very loose shower faucet (not connected to the tile at all) and a used tissue bunched up under the sink vanity. The room's temperature was an icy frigid temp until we completely turned the unit off. There was no adjusting permitted except when we informed the manager and he said maintenance could enter our rom and turn the heat on in our room for the duration of our stay.The rooms on either side of us were incredibly loud and you could clearly hear every door open/shut, every word spoken or yelled and it was quickly addressed by a security guard for the hotel. Bedding had body odor.

We arrived on Friday and we checked out Monday and there were multiple excuses why the pool was not open. It was only open on Saturday from 12 to 10. On Sunday at 8PM. We tried to order room service, which was not available - which was advertised as an option. We had changed our prior reservations to this place for the indoor pool so our grandchildren could enjoy it. The vent in the bathroom could not be used because it made such a horrible noise. The refrigerator was the smallest size there is made, and it made a horrible noise. We made arrangements for four, but we were only allowed accommodations for three such as towels and wash claws. There were no sheets, blankets or pillows for the sofa bed - so we will not be returning to this location on our next trip to Birmingham
