Embassy Suites by Hilton Cincinnati RiverCenter

We usually love staying here, but not this trip. Our favorite part is being so close to everything we plan to do; however, the stay was just not worth it this time. 1st they told us they didn't have a room for us? (Paid for a river view room) Then they got one figured it out. (Not the room we booked). Got the kids all ready for the pool, just to find the pool closed. Not sure why they didn't say anything when we checked in. We had some pretty upset kids! Then no hot water for showers. Sink water was scalding hot though! Room was constantly 80 degrees, no matter what we did to the thermostat. Then breakfast was just sad. Everything was "out of order" and marked so. My son almost drank a chocolate milk dated for Jan 3rd. Just sad because we have been here many of times and even for weddings. Time for some updates, or a new maintenence team I guess.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing. The valet guy explained all the parking options. Once to the lobby you are invited by amazing front desk agents. Laroy and i think Richard. They were so helpful both nights we were there. They gave us such an amazing view of the city, explained all we needed to know with so much kindness and excitement. The hopitality was amazing. They offer a wonderful breakfast an evening reception every night and thats where we met Nay (Bartender) and Dave (manager). They made you feel so welcome and happy to be there. Nay has amazing customer service and Dave has all the tricks lol. It was really a great stay. Thank you all.

Needs updated

Our room was 80 degrees when we checked in, we turned the a/c on 66 and we left the next morning and the room was 78 degrees. Shower curtain kept sliding open during showers.

We’ve stayed multiple times and this property is great. Great breakfast, staff is friendly. Rooms are nice and clean.

Coming here in December,January and February are pool is closed and cold. Bringing my grandson here 3 times and he’s never swim in your pool ( prices). New Years breakfast was horrible

Very pleasant. Fine room, good view over the river and extensive breakfast. Very, helpful staff and lovely ambience - great atrium serving compleñtary refreshments. Go in in!

We liked the amenities

Good location and the breakfast plus manager special in the evenings really set Embassy Suites apart from the competition. However, this particular hotel needs to be fully renovated, we tried 5 different rooms and each one smelled of mold, not very healthy for any guests or cleaning crew that tends to each room.

The staff was great and the common areas were very nice. The downsides were the condition of the room was not amazing (especially bathroom/shower), and also the in-room thermostat doesn't actually respond and we were way too warm (room got up to 74 even though we set thermostat at 66). Food (dinner) at the restaurant was not very good, though the breakfast omelets were great and there was a lot of variety available for breakfast. Hard to find true bedroom suites when travelling with kids, so we did like the room layout.

Rooms were pretty dirty. Furnace in room barely worked. Decent place to stay for families but I would probably look elsewhere before booking this again

No working exhaust fan, very dirty vents. Evening snacks very limited options. Breakfast not as good as other embassy suites I have been to.

The rooms are in desperate need of repair and updates. The bed was comfortable, but the shower drain was broken, there was a large hole in the couch cushion and the room had a very strong odor of cat urine. We would have used room service, but the room phones were broken and we partially chose this hotel due to the indoor pool that ended up being closed during our stay. I notified the staff of my concerns and was offered generic condolences, but that was it.

Favorite hotel to stay at.

The suite was excellent for the price. Loved the amount of space, the night light in the bathroom, the recessed TV in the living room. They could make the rooms better with some updates particularly pictures/art on the walls.

There was no soap or conditioner in the shower. There was no room service and the breakfast that was offered ended at 9:30.

Hotel was overall 7 outta 10. Our room had a mildew smell and trash left behind curtains from last guest. The breakfast was great and the cocktail hour was a nice fearure for the hotel.

Over all, I like the property but hated the fact that I had to pay for parking

The hotel is somewhat dated. However, the staff is great and there are lots of things to do within walking distance.
