Service was great!

It was clean and the staff were very friendly!! Great location and good breakfast.

I liked it was convenient to where I was going for an appointment. Didn't like limited menu for dinner as my husband is a vegetarian. I did book a king bed, but got a room with 2 double beds. But I didn't say anything as we were only staying 1 night.

Several times elevators were not working had to use service elevator. Pour water pressure in the shower. Initially, the thermostat for the heating unit in the room was not working. Room was freezing maintenance did come and repair.

Wasn’t thrilled about the parking but overall it was a good stay

I want to specifically mention Brittany and Aubrey who made me feel very welcome visiting Alabama for the first time and telling me about area and showing great hospitality.

Got food poisoning from the kitchen

There was a lot of young people playing around the elevators and in the lobby that just seemed to be there for no purpose other than loitering

Everywhere I needed to go was in close proximity..

The parking was $25 per night. Those are Atlanta pricing, not Montgomery pricing, especially when I've had business trips in the past where parking was free at the same facility.

The hotel is very old and the price just doesn’t match the experience. The elevators broke down and my family was stuck on the top floor, we eventually had to walk down 8 flights of steps. Parking is slim, spots ran out and I was forced to park very far from the entrance, keep in mind it was night time with just my daughter and I so we were scared! The floor that we stayed on (8th) the ceiling was so short that I could literally reach up and touch it and I’m only 5’2. I’m an ex-flight attendant so I’ve stayed at probably thousands of hotels and this one was awful!

Very nice and clean room! Staff was also courteous. Only negative was noise from rooms beside and above us but they eventually quietened down.

We always try to stay at ES. But this time was frustrating. AC in the room would only go to 72 degrees and was off when we arrived. It took three hours to cool down to 72 degrees. The location is across the road from the train station (actually just train tracks). Last night I heard at least three trains and they are loud blowing their horn. Parking on ES lot is $25 per night (valet parking not available) and the clerk was not quick to point that out. There's an adjacent public parking lot (same parking lot - check Google Maps) for $10 a night but that's the responsibility of the hotel guest to know before arriving. The clerk only points out that the street parking is two hour limited and a ticket is ~$30. I parked for two nights ($50) (non valet) in the same parking lot that could have cost me ($20). I'll stay at ES elsewhere but not again in Montgomery because of the trains. Also, lesson learned, I'll check for better parking options in the future.

Easy check in. Digital keys work well for your room and fitness room. Breakfast buffet was nice with a good selection. Restaurant and bar was nice and friendly. The area around the hotel has numerous restaurants and coffee shops.
