FairBridge Inn & Suites Merced/Gateway to Yosemite

Pleasant stay, comfortable bed and surprisingly quiet for its location. I’d stay again. All rooms on ground level.

Updated floors and furniture. Bed was comfortable. Showerhead squirted all over. No reading light by the bed. Room was very small.

This is an perfect example of the magic that can be created out an older motel that has been fully renovated. It is a no frills property. No pool, gym or hot tub, but the grounds and exterior are beautiful. Each room comes with hardwood floors, shutters instead of curtains and a big TV with a gazillion channels. The shower had a grab bar and came with a non slip mat for the tub. Each room has a mini fridge and coffee maker. Clean as a whistle inside and out, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The property is close to the freeway as are the rest of the hotels along Motel Row. It wasn't a problem for me. The staff was very kind. My only negative comment is that my towels were a bit worn. For the price it's an incredible bargain.

Beside the toilet being backed up. The room is nice n clean. Plenty of parking space.

Check in staff were very nice. Room was clean and modern. Hard floors with no carpet, but very clean. Some noise from the adjacent highway 99. We nneded a clean place to sleep for 1 night and it served the purpose.

Great customer service

Excellent for Yosemite or UC Merced trips

Pros: All was good, as described online, pictures are accurate. Clean. Friendly front desk people. Small business, well managed. Cons: there is no plug in the bathtub, and window is facing a narrow strip of backyard that’s trashed and look unhygienic, also the screen mesh was broken. Could be easily fixed. Overall good value for money. Good location.

I had a one night stay at the FairBridge Inn while visiting my son at UC Merced. The room was clean. Check in was quick and easy. It is located right of the freeway so it is very convenient.

Quiet area

I enjoy staying at this location on my travels

Missing were any vending machines for drinks, reading lights for the beds, bath mat (absorbing mat outside the shower), and the option for softer pillows. The fridge also needed defrosting as the ice was interfering with the closing of the fridge door. I appreciated the low fan setting on the AV and the quiet and comfortable parking/courtyard.

Very unprofessional terms knocking at your door 3 to 4 times before your check out

The room was clean, service was good and fast. Someone tried to come in but the chain on the door stopped them- that scared us a bit. So glad we had that on. No knock so i don't think it was housekeeping.

Clean and quier

Staff were kind and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. It was just old.
