Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina

Welcoming kind staff with well-managed facilities along with beautiful environment. Couldn't be better! My IU homecoming trip from South Korea was filled because of Fourwinds.

Swiming pool was closed . Free breakfast closed for season . Very disappointed

Tv did not work moved rooms still no help .. front staff was not very helpful

Pool lighting free floating in pool attached by wire, debris all over the bottom likely from leaking roof. I told the person at the front desk and was waved off and told it wouldn't electrocute me. Neither TV in the fitness room had any channels. Bed was comfy, only redeeming quality to the aging relic of a hotel. Also no charging places for USB cords to plug directly into. It was dirty, crayon or eyeliner on the mirror in the bathroom, dirty floors, Unsure if it was even cleaned at all.

I arrived to check in only to be told that EXPEDIA cancelled the reservation I had made on October 15. It was cancelled on October 23 by EXPEDIA. So I arrive on November 8 about 8:00 with guests to arrive shortly later. From out of town, no more rooms available. So I drive another 1.5 hours home just so I could rest to only drive back to my event where I was before reservation cancelled. So I look at my records, no refund or correspondence saying my room was cancelled. Actually have survey asking me how my stay was!!!! lol…. Now the journey to try and contact EXPEDIA for my refund and see what the problem is. Still showing room fee taken out, no refund and it’s been over 2 weeks since this “ghostly” cancellation. Absolutely horrible experience which impacted 4 travellers

Loved our trip to Four Winds. It was just a little staycation trip. Kids loved the pool and the hotel is beautiful.

No Hot breakfast, has toaster for bread and bagel. Room has microwave and frdge. beautiful Indoor pool was the best part for my kids it was warm during cold days. Not close to any store maybe 3 miles out for the nearest grocery.

The room was very clean, as were all parts of the facility that we saw. The room construction is dated, so there are not many outlets for charging or plugging in. Overall, very nice and a great value. It’s a 30 minute drive from the center of the IU campus at night ending in country roads.

Beautiful surrounding area but beds are in need to be replaced

I booked this stay for my son's birthday. At check-in, the staff wished him a happy birthday. He couldn't get over how beautiful the area was and how perfect the hotel was. He is looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the lake.

Located right on the lake with fantastic views and plenty of paths to walk.

The room definitely needs an update and the soundproofing isn't great. It was fine for a place to sleep. Unfortunately, something in the room made my allergies absolutely miserable and I could barely breathe in the morning. Bring Benadryl or an air purifier if you have allergies.

The site was on a lake so it was quiet & lovely scenery. The drive was longer than I expected and in a state park with a per day fee. The fee was reimbursed, so that was nice. I would recommend this hotel for a quiet stay.

Bar closes too early

Came in and the hallways are very ling we were all the way down on the 3rd floor . Got in our room and we had 2 big spider webs with big spiders in them . Bathroom was clean , the room.it self wasnt the best besides spider webs with spiders the nightstand was dusty . We didnt have hot water , first night told the front desk said they would have someone look at it the second day , we called down they told us we need to run the water for half an hour amd see the water was barley warm told us they could move us rooms but the only thing tjey have available is next to.ours so cant guarentee that would fix the hot water issue

I enjoyed my stay for what it was worth

We could hear other people’s voices clearly through the thin walls (normal voice volume). Carpet seems old and stained. When I booked through Expedia, I was told we would have a continental breakfast included, but at the hotel this morning, the only option is a $14.95 buffet breakfast. The hotel staff didn’t offer anything, only said that Expedia got it wrong. That would be an additional $30 for me and my daughter to have a bowl of cereal, a yogurt and a piece of fruit (our typical breakfast). The hotel is very remote from ANY other dining options. Bloomington is quite a drive from here and there seem to be no choices at all that would be closer. The hotel overlooks the lake which is nice but the view is really marred by countless marinas. Will not stay here again.

poor water pressure

Had a very nice stay. Staff was excellent!

This property is in need of work. Nothing is vaccumed in common airs, spider webs and dust everywhere. Our bathroom had barely any hot water, very limited water pressure and to top it off, zero internet connection. Just a disappointing experience all the way around.
