Hampton Inn Baton Rouge - Denham Springs

Room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful

Planned to stay for a night in Baton Rouge and chose this area in Denham Springs for convenience off the highway. Overall the stay was fine, but overpriced for what the hotel is. It was clean enough, and the bed was comfortable. AC worked well. Parking was easy. Lots close by if you want something to eat. Breakfast provided had typical hotel choices, but coffee wasn’t great. Waited a while to check in as nobody was at the desk, and there was no bell to notify anybody that we were there. Overall stay was fine, but I’d only come back if the price was lower.

Stayed for Ministry purpose . It was pleasant.

Everything was clean, all employees were so friendly and welcoming! I will definitely stay here again.

Its location

The property was fine. The lication was great. The staff was good. The only thing I have a problem with is when i checked in. I was advised that i had to pay extra. It seems as though the price i paid through expedia was not correct. And i had to pay almost 100 dollars more. This I don't understand. Could someone explain this to me. Especially since I made reservations a month in advance.

Clean. Conveniently located for the wedding we attended. Waiting to hear back from hotel management about the claim we reported of a pair of new shoes we left in our room.

Room was so clean, smelled nice, AC was cold, water was hot. Staff was friendly. Room had everything we needed. Price was right!

The beds were too soft

Great place to stay! Excellent breakfast options and comfy beds! I wish there were more sidewalks to walk around the area in Denham Springs.

Checking in trouble but was fixed

Preteen’s running up and down the floors, they were left unattended in the gym, and pool. Encountered one of them after 10 pm, and let him know that guests were trying to sleep, not more 5 seconds returning to my room, the fire alarm goes off, I encountered the same pre-teen in the cubicle going to the gym and pool with his hands on his head, I asked what he did, he said was looking for his friends. That said, the hotel has cameras, and they can control unsupervised youngsters.

Check in took a long time. Facility was recently updated, very nice.

Neighborhood is not very good

We haven’t stayed in a Hampton in for a few years, and I was pleasantly surprised. This propert seemed new, was very nicely appointed. The bathroom was spacious and I appreciate the large mounted bottles of products. The bed was very comfortable, but as is often the case, it’s annoying to have 4 small pillows on a king bed. Please use king pillows! That earned my 4 stars for comfort, otherwise everything was good, and there was a nice large easy chair in the corner. The staff at checkin was very friendly. The breakfast area looked good, but we left too early to take advantage of it. Maybe next time.

Would not stay here again. No vending in the hotel - so if you don't bring snacks or water with you - you are out of luck. Reserved room thru Expedia and then was charged $30 more at checked out. Front desk wouldn't print a receipt b/c I booked thru Expedia. Found no way to get this corrected thru the app - May not use Expedia again either....
