Internet never worked. I had to cancel business meeting. Staff could not help although they were kind in trying.

The staff was great, specifically the front desk people. The hotel is under major renovation so the common spaces are a total mess.

Hot tub and pool were cold, broken heater they could have borrowed heat from the showers almost burned myself. The food was mah tables were wobbly which caused me to spill my coffee everywhere leaves were blowing in the door had a end of days feel to it like the walking dead lol. The room was recently remodeled but strange choices like having the toilet be close to the shower vs centered in the room just awkward and difficult to adjust temperature of shower without being in it. Parking was also a bit annoying having to validate after every time leaving having to waste 10 minutes waiting every time was definitely annoying.

Heater in the room didn’t work. Paid breakfast was terrible. Construction going on. I hadn’t remembered that, the last time I stayed at a Hilton Garden in Carlsbad, it was the same. I won’t forget the next time.

Buen hotel

Totally not as described on Orbitz. No restaurant. They did have a bar, but it was not open. No shuttle either. Was originally given a room in an area they’re renovating- even though the hotel was empty. Didn’t want to hear workers so they gave me another room. This one was recently renovated. So recently that there was a tool box left in the room… so had it been cleaned? This new room was an adjoining one, and there’s zero sound protection between the rooms. I literally heard my neighbors entire phone conversations. Breakfast was your standard stuff. Nothing special. And the creamer was out - something the server or breakfast prep person should have never put out to begin with. Staff was lovely, but I wouldn’t stay again.

When we checked in we were given a room without heating (on the coldest day of the year) and without hot water and the elevator was being used by workmen and had no proper walls or floor. We told the desk clerk about the room issues and he gave us another room, same problems. Finally on the third try we were given a room in another wing and it was very good. Breakfast, which was advertised online as $18 value was buffet style and listed as $8.95 value at the hotel. I was very disappointed in its value.

BATHROOM CLOGGED,TOILET DIRTY,CLOGGED

This was likely the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed at. The location and lobby were ok, free parking, but it went downhill from there. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds. We got a room with 2 queen beds, but the mattresses were full size. The photo shows how the beds stick out a good foot from the mattress, perfect for hitting your shins on. The pool and hot tub were closed despite it being 80+ degrees. Pillows were so flat, my head rested on the mattress. A fire alarm went off in one of the towers and my husband got locked out of the room for about 20 minutes until the elevator turned back on. He wanted to use the stairs, but apparently the stairwell was locked, the room was dinged up and outdated, but they are in the process of updating the hotel. None of those would be that bad until the jackhammer from the room next door kept going off. We had a long day of sightseeing and wanted to rest and deal with a headache before going to a show for the evening and there was a JACKHAMMER going on. Literally the room next door to us, the walls were shaking and we had to scream to be heard. The front desk said there was nothing they could do because they were fully booked and couldn’t move us. Why the hell are they booking rooms directly next to rooms under construction? Common sense would dictate the surrounding rooms would be uninhabitable due to the noise, but then Hilton wouldn’t get as much money, so who cares that I paid full price for a room I couldn’t even rest in.

Both mornings the phone in my room rang once and woke me up (I did not schedule a wake up call). The AC didn’t work, so the room was warm. Construction was ongoing.

Property was under construction, and the spa was not in service. These things should be listed when booking.

Nothing

Great stay. We were travel weary, needed a good nights sleep, and we got it.

Clean,we enjoyed the breakfast

Reviews said it was wonderful, I thought it was just mediocre . I would rather pay a few dollars and stay someplace nicer.
