Holiday Inn Express & Suites GAINESVILLE, an IHG Hotel

Service was amazing. Super friendly but our room was very hot, like a furnace. We asked them to check the AC and they quickly did. They then advised we would need to switch rooms, which was no problem, but the 2nd room was just as bad. It’s almost as if the AC units have some sort of dampener to make them only run 1-2 minutes.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express was everything I've come to expect from this chain.

There was not hot water or a working shower. The pipe leaked all over our room damaging our clothes. We were given dirty towels and checked into a room that already had someone in it.

Bathroom sink leaked onto counter, bathroom shower head didn’t work well - like wouldn’t turn on, bedroom was super hot, lady at the desk didn’t want to give us extra bedding for the pullout couch, all bottled drinks were $3 even kids size drinks, tv’s didn’t work, lobby was leaking water from the ceiling, just over-all we were very unimpressed. We normally love Holiday Inns, this one was not good.

We chose this hotel because we have never had a bad stay at a Holiday Inn Express and it had an indoor pool. When we walked in the lobby was very hot. The young man that was working said he didn't like the cold, so he keeps it hot inside. There was what I think was dog poop in the elevator that had been smeared on the floor. It took 3 days for that to get cleaned up. The pool was cold so the grandkids couldn't swim until Saturday when they turned the heater on. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Water pressure was terrible. Our son had to shower in our room because the water was trickling out of his. Our daughter's room had good water pressure to begin with but then on Sunday they didn't have water in the shower. There were several people complaining about it. We had to turn the AC down to 60 to get the room to cool off.

It was an amazing stay! The room was huge and very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The area was quiet, breakfast was good and there were no issues at all. The price and value was very reasonable. I just wish I had a reason to stay longer.

Entire stay was wonderful! Very friendly staff, breakfast was hot and good selections.
