Holiday Inn Express DENVER DOWNTOWN, an IHG Hotel

We were from out of state and everyone was very kind and helpful.

AC in the rooms were not working, went to the front desk and all they offered was a fan.

Staff was friendly. Location was great. Breakfast was lacking plates, cream cheese and juice machine was broken.

Stayed 4 nights and our room temperature was set to 78 degrees. Unable to adjust thermostat in our room so we repeatedly asked the front desk to adjust our temperature and we were told they couldn’t change the temperature because the temp was set for the entire hotel. We slept miserable and sweaty every night. The breakfast was also inadequate and terrible. Not one single morning did they provide a complete breakfast. Some days it was just cereal and other days it was just eggs and toast, bagel’s were provided with no cream cheese. We asked for cream cheese and we told ‘we’re out’. Never staying there again.

A little disappointed because pur first room was 90 degrees, receptionist stated at check in that we could not control temp of rooms and if room was too hot or cold she would could provide a fan or heater. Room was unbearable and requested a room change, service was great they moved us first thing next morning and upgraded us. Had to ask several time for house keeping and clean towels. Breakfast was lacking juice machine was down 3 out of the four mornings, offered same choices 2 of 4 days. Most likely will not stay here again. With that said the staff was VERY kind and professional.

The staff was great. The room was clean and the view was nice! The outlet on the bedside lame didn't work, but there was another outlet close by. hotels.com had one price and the hotel charged about $75 more, but other than that we had no issue.

It was clean and pleasant. If I had an issue with my room, they were very quick to take care of it.

Valet parking attendants were excellent Our room air conditioner/heater did not work room was warm and somewhat uncomfortable

The Hot water took forever, the thermostat was broken called front desk no one picked up. And the rooms are ot very sound proof our neighbors were loud kids up all night

It was a great central location to the 16th Street Mall. It was also located close to Ball Arena, 10-15 minute Über ride.Walking distance to plenty of restaurants. With valet parking or public pay to park close by. Will definitely book again.

The staff was very friendly. But, my room was incredibly cold ... and it wasn't possible to adjust the thermostat in the room.

Good spot, friendly and competent staff

The staff were great and very helpful. The breakfast was a decent continental breakfast and the food wasn't over cooked. Lupe was very nice and helpful when the coffee urn ran out while the other one was brewing. Not really her fault as there was an instant rush of people having to be evacuated from the 20, 21, 22 floors. As for the fire alarm, I had no idea that there was one until I stepped out of my room and saw the light flashing. I heard something that resembled a fire alarm while I was in the shower but I thought it was from the TV. I recommend adding words to the alarm. "This is a fire alarm", or, This is not a drill" Something that would be a little more indicative of the need to vacate the floor. The house keeper on that floor was unable to communicate if we had to vacate or not. We guests had no idea if it was real or not until we saw the fire department heading up to verify a fire or not. The finale issue I had related to just my room, maybe, the bath tub drain would not drain the water properly. It was almost like there was a clogged vent tube or larger clog further down the drain. I showered standing in 2 inches of water. I did not seek help or compensation, I just let front desk know when I checked out.

Everything was great, excellent location.

No hot water

Tub didn't drain, had to turn the water off 3 or 4 times for a 10 minute shower so the tub didn't fill up. Took forever for hot water to flow. And thermostat only goes down to 68. Only parking option through the hotel is $50/night valet, but there are garages close. I'd recommend not bringing a car.

The hotel looked nice from the outside but the building only had one air unit that controlled every room in the building so essentially you couldn't control your room temperature unless you called the front office and had a engineer come up and manually adjust the temperature for your room. Problem is, the engineer is only there from 8-5 so anything after that is just unfortunate and you have to wait until the next morning to get the air adjusted. Was very uncomfortable. They offer fans and blankets tho.

The bed in my room was broken. It didn’t appear to be locked firm to its base and therefore rocked and rolled every time I moved. It also made loud noises when I got in or out of bed which I’m sure was heard by other guests in adjoining rooms. I was needing a microwave oven which the room did not have. The toilet seat would not stay up because it was obstructed by the bathroom counter. The main light switch did not work making it difficult to see upon entering the room at night.

The room was extremely hot, no thermostat, iron not working. We were happy that we had room services every single day that was nice
