Holiday Inn IRVING - LAS COLINAS, an IHG Hotel

The staff is very unfriendly. I stayed here on a business trip and had to submit an invoice to my company. The day before I checked out, I asked the staff to issue the invoice and was told that it would be issued the next morning. However, the next morning another staff member refused, saying that the invoice would be mailed to me, and the invoice has not been mailed to me yet. I left a question about this and received a very unfriendly and mechanical response telling me to request it from Expedia. I would definitely not recommend anyone traveling for business to stay here. This property needs an upgrade, the carpet in the hallways and the rooms are dark, worn, and hold in a stale odor. The walls are paper thin. I could hear the people in the next room snore. The only saving grace for this property is the staff is exceptional. Very good customer service, which is surprising since they work at property that needs a lot of apologizing for.

The a/c sucks, I got hot and then got cold. The a/c is very old with the nob for hot and cold, it’s not digital! I called down a few times for towels/pillows, it kept saying they’re not available and voicemail is full. We had to walk down to asked.

There were cation signs from I guess a water leak and the maid woke us up trying to come into our room that morning. Could not access internet and some of the plugs did not work. Only up side was bed was comfortable and shower was hot.

staff is always nice and courteous, the hotel is clean. We use this place when we have traveling employees and they are always satisfied.

The property was in a good location. It was safe and room was big. The property seems a little old, but it was ok. The bathroom was a bit small but it has the necessary. As to parking there is little parking we chose not to take out our car to avoid losing our spot, and just ubered and walked.

Stayed at this hotel because we were attending a concert at a venue close by. Hotel was really clean. Staff were very friendly. Buffet breakfast(paid)was delicious and had plenty of variety. Room was spacious and comfortable. Loved having shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower and hand soap and lotion at the sink(all Dove brand). Will definitely stay here again for a future trip! Didn’t get a chance to try the pool.

There were bed bugs in room 267 where we stayed 1st night. Pool hoist for handicap daughter was not operable. When I requested to be compensated for having to swap rooms and the fact I could not take my wheelchair bound daughter into pool was offered a$15 price break on the room for 1 night only not the 3 nights we stayed. Front desk staff, bar tender and cleaning staff were amazing but it’s obvious upper management needs replaced.

The service from the front desk staff to the bartender was above & beyond. Very impressed. The room was clean, but maybe on the average to slightly run down side. I'd say, just okay. Comfortable bed. I can't describe the smell exactly but I was above/outside the indoor pool so maybe related. I would give them a try again and probably ask for a room preview first. Location is fantastic. Easy to get to and close to evy

Check in was quick, room was clean but the property does need maintenance such as the pool floor needs repair. Only other complaint was not even checked out yet and cleaning staff through out food in fridge.
