Holiday Inn RALEIGH DOWNTOWN, an IHG Hotel

It was such an awesome stay a quick getaway with the grands quiet and got a room away from the hussle

Staff is great. Building as in previous reviews needs to be maintained but I expected it going in.

The property was completely outdated, dirty and broken. When we were checking out I went to unplug my phone cord and found a used condom tucked behind the night stand (not mine). Some of the elevators were out of service, chipping paint overall filth. The manager did refund my entire stay due to the condom.

Very outdated. Very cold outside of the room. Understaffed and only one elevator working. The Holiday Inn where I live is quite nice and updated. I ended up moving to the Hyatt down the road for a better hotel experience.

It took 3 trips to the front desk to get a door that opened. First room the door handle just flopped down and wouldn’t open. Second room door was stuck and wouldn’t open. 3rd room finally opened. It was decent except for the fact that I had to clean the shower before my daughter could use it because it was filthy. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful with our issues but it was not a great start to our weekend. The floors in the hallways all had what looked like bleach spot on them and the wallpaper on all the walls was peeling. I would not recommend this place and definitely won’t stay there again.

Only 1 elevator working, breakfast was a joke, stained and dirty sheets, dirty wardrobe in my room. Overall bad experience.

The overall stay was ok, but when we walked into the main area, it smelled like sewer! It kind of filtered into the elevators and hallways. The front desk clerk was aware of the smell, but didn't know what it was? Won't stay there again.

The building needs updating. 1 elevator out of service. Good location.

I read a review stating one of the two elevators were not working and it was still inoperable. The staff was great and my view from the 11th floor was outstanding.

The interior was freezing. Hallways felt like same temp as outside. The hot water for tea was warm not hot and tasted like old coffee, wallpaper coming off walls, dining area was freezing.

Needs updating. Elevators very dirty - 1st impression not good Should not need to pay for parking

Business trip for the night that got cancelled , staff was great !!! Building could use updating

Excellent central location. Small room with a nice view and a tiny bathroom. Very bare minimum - two towels. One of the elevators 2as down all weekend and for several hours on Sunday the other one went down so I had to go down 12 flights of stairs. Was just grateful I wasn't having a bad knees weekend. The included breakfast is boxed cereals and yoghurt, but no spoons,

Elevator was broken had to walk up 11 fliggts of stairs. Ice machine broken. Grab and go brekast not the breakfast that was advertised. Charged 150 more at check in then was quoted. After leaving card wqs charged 6 times.shower leaked on the floor. Lobby was cold. Not the experience i have ever had at holiday inn express. We have always choosen this chain.

The two late day front desk agents had attitudes. One rarely spoke when I first got there to check in and the other day I came in late and didn’t know something was for sale and the guy wasn’t nice when he alerted me it was for sale “do you want to pay for that?” Was aimed at me. Also the elevator was offline me and others had to walk down the stairs (I was on the 15th floor)

Average room. 1 of the 2 elevators were not working, bathroom not that clean

Breakfast was awful: no hot options, no microwave to warm up food, orange juice tasted bad, and bread had a dead fly in it. Room was older and not very clean, with leftover hair in the tub. Area was convenient and great. Front desk workers were really sweet. Had to pay for parking which sucked.

The elevators weren't working. It had a leak in the elevators water was coming through the top. We were on the 8th floor. The place was noisey all night. We didn't get hardly any sleep. The bed wasn't comfortable my back was hurting all night.

Great staff and check-in experience. Nice clean room...
