I enjoyed my stay at the Red Roof Inn, Hometown Suites in Okemos. I stayed here two nights, had hoped to stay an additional night but ended up making the reservation late at night for the third night & didn’t realize I had made it for the older, more run down Red Roof Inn, E Lansing. The extended stay suites in Okemos are more modern, more room, friendlier staff, and have great amenities in the rooms and offer washer/dryer services. The Okemos location is situated near Lot of great food options including Dunkin Donuts.

For a non-smoking hotel, it REEKED of marijuana and that horrid smell got sucked into the room because the bathroom fan could not be turned off.

We stayed at this hotel during a Michigan State game. Upon arrival we found at our room had not been adequately cleaned, including urine, stains on the toilet, muddy footstep, and hairs on the bathroom floor we were transferred to a different room and that room was not adequately cleaned either. This hotel is outdated and in need of repairs and or upgrades. While I appreciate that this is a pet friendly hotel, they do not monitor the grounds and you can barely walk your dog on the ground without and countering dog waste there is no hotel pool as it is under repair. We will definitely not stay at this property again.

A bag in our room was taken and the contents dumped on a table. The second night of our stay the night desk manager single handedly decided to cancel our reservation, without explanation. We called the police about the missing bag which the front desk “found” in lost and found. A nightmare of a hotel that gave us the creeps. Probably the worst we’ve ever experienced.

Well apon arrival to my room as I open the door I was overtaken by a weed smell in the morning i noticed the shower curtain was broken nicks and gouges in the walls and some brown almost black goo seeping out from base of the toilet the beds were rock hard and there was what appeared to be black mold on the ceiling above the shower there were massive cobwebs in the room by the window and man for spiders in the room to

We were there to drop our kid off at MSU. Laundry on site was so convenient. Mary was an amazing host. She was friendly and eased our worries. It was great having restaurants in walking distance.
