Cutely appointed, fun decor, but cleanliness subpar and the room was extremely humid even with the air conditioning on full speed at 68 degrees. Also, important to note that it is not a hotel but rather a motel (parking right outside every door which opens directly onto the parking lot), so that impacts noise and safety.

A/C too noisy. Outdoor towards the rooms full of mold. Charge for an open parking not secure. Room floors slippery.

It’s a good value! It’s def older and needs some updating, but was perfect for our quick weekend to Athens. Parking is super easy!

Friendly staff. Love the gym with its free weights.

Apparently the doors don’t automatically lock. I was laying down in my bed this morning and someone walked right into my room that was NOT an employee. No knock. Nothing. Definitely a bit alarming.

Great location, friendly staff - from the front office to the custodial team, they were all very professional and helpful. But the room smelled musty/moldy even with the AC running constantly, smelled like wet dog during our entire stay (we didn't bring a dog!). Mattress oddly lumpy and not comfortable, upholstery in the room was badly stained, bathroom had stains on the wall. We did appreciate the location walkable to downtown and the helpful staff, but will look for a cleaner/fresher place next time at this price.

The a/c was so loud and making various noises that we got very little sleep. Also, if there are empty rooms in the back, why put guest by the road? And, informing your customers at checkin that there's a mandatory breakfast charge isn't cool !

Our stay at Hotel Abacus was awful. Our first room was infested with ants, the AC smelled strongly of mold, and the floors were so filthy they turned our feet black. We asked to switch rooms, but the new one had floors just as dirty. To make matters worse, we were promised free breakfasts, but they charged us instead. The room we booked for our family members had floors just as dirty & the ac smelled like mold as well. Completely unacceptable—would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially for $300+ a night per room!

Parking right outside our room was convenient for UGA move-in. Lobby has a cool vibe. Housekeeping was not automatic and even when requested did not come. Had to go to front desk several times to request enough towels for all 3 people in our room (phone In room was broken and couldn’t call front desk) and had to make do with two towels the first night since housekeeping had left for the day.

The hotel is nice. The access to the rooms is from a gallery outside. The property is nice and quiet. The location is OK, a little far from the downtown and the UGA campus.

Our room was incredibly musty and damp. Our pillows smelled like mold had we not checked in after 11 o’clock we would’ve demanded another room. Every time we stay, our experience goes down from our original last fall.

Excellent service and I love the decor. A few things could have been cleaner and the AC didn’t seem to be working to full capacity, but overall we would definitely stay here again. Location is wonderful, parking is easy, and breakfast/coffee in the morning is excellent.

Walked into the lobby and thought wow this is a really neat looking place. I had chosen well. Then I got to my room. The ceiling in the bathroom had massive water stain damage and visible black mold. I went to the front desk and they were very helpful, and got me a second room. That room had little black flies coming up from the drain and my bedsheets were actually still damp. I really wanted to like this property, but I will not be returning.

The bed was so comfortable with every type of pillow you could want, I got the best night of sleep in a long time. The mocha and breakfast burrito were also stellar in the morning. Crispy potatoes and plenty of filling in the burrito and it came with a chunky salsa verde.

Cozy, unique property with good location. Disappointed weather precluded use of pool. Main complaint-not enough electrical outlets, none by the bed, and two of the few did not work to charge devices when the light was off (as in all night). They need to upgrade that aspect.
