The staff were kind and helpful. I enjoyed my stay, it was relaxing and comfortable. I think they should add more gluten free foods/health options for people with allergies or other health restrictions in diet. Overall it was a great place to stay.

A very eclectic property. Amazing views from Rooftop bar. Area a little rough, but overall seemed safe. Very close to metro station. Staff waa very friendly. I would definitely recommend Hotel Nell to others.

I just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Nell with my teenage daughter. We both loved everything about our stay. Everyone was helpful and friendly from the front desk to the housekeepers, to the wait staff at The Treehouse and the little cafe in the lobby. One night I came down looking for coffee creamer and the cafe was closed but the front desk went over and poured me a glass of half and half to take up and keep in the refrigerator in my room. Much appreciated! This hotel is quaint and charming and it's in such a fun urban neighborhood with lots of great shops and restaurants as well as a Trader Joe's within walking distance. Before arriving we upgrade to the largest room the hotel offers and it was lovely; felt more like an apartment or Airbnb than a hotel and had a well stocked kitchen with dishes, refrigerator and a stove. We will definitely return.

Fantastic little chic hotel just up from Union Market. Sweet and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Loved: Staff service Lobby Location Did not love: No bellhop cart No room ventilation (there was an AC that kept it at the temperature we wanted, but we couldn't get air moving in the room) We couldn't get the shower from a freezing temperature to something comfortable

My go-to in DC. Fun, funky, nice rooftop bar for the sunset, unique and somewhat eclectic ... a refreshing change from chain hotels.

Wonderful stay , loved the aesthetic of the whole place. Only problem was the tv didn’t work in my room.

The location was great and close to lots of things. We weren’t aware that we needed to make parking reservations beforehand. If that had been communicated more efficiently (bc we did call about late check in) it would’ve improved the experience.

Loved the overall aesthetic of the hotel. Rarely stay in boutique hotels but the price was too good to pass up. Overall, friendly staff. I will definitely give them that. Bartender on the rooftop bar didn’t seem like he really wanted to he bothered but he did his job and the drinks weren’t too bad. Only 2 things that would deter me from staying again is honestly the price for parking…$45 per night. Street parking is scarce! I was a bit sticker shocked after paying $90 for only two nights. I think its worth factoring in some type of validation or discount for driving guests. Also, $100 PER night for holds is unreasonable. So if I stayed 5 nights, a hold would be $500??? That’s a bit outrageous. Definitely wouldn’t do an extended stay for these two factors alone but one or two nights is cool! Didn’t worry about noise or cleanliness. That was all good. What you save on the room, you will definitely pay in parking. If you’re not driving, definitely a top 3 place to stay!

Hotel Nell is close to everything, and it's in a safe walkable area with awesome food options. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and pleasant. I would book my next stay in DC at Hotel Nell!
