InterContinental Hotels MARK HOPKINS SAN FRANCISCO, an IHG Hotel

Staying in a 99 year old hotel…STUNNING! I’m all for the history, crown molding, chandeliers, moody paint and views! Loved the whole experience!

Classic old hotel with a button to turn on the "Do Not Disturb" light and good internet. Rooms need thorough cleaning. Beds are hard. Surprise "resort fee" was added to bill. This hotel is no resort.

The hotel is in a beautiful area of the city with clean sidewalks and lovely views. The staff was very accommodating when I checked in, and the room is large and well appointed, with plenty of light and nice views even from a lower floor.

This hotel is luxury and grace of a bygone era! From the brick turnaround to the smilingly helpful uniformed doormen to the elegant lobby and puffy down comforters, it is THE REAL DEAL. We had a large king room with two windows we could open and a city view. Shower was GREAT! We went to The Top of the Mark one night and listened to a crooner sing all the Sinatra/Bennett oldies while octogenarian couples waltzed and tangoed the night away. AND the hotel is right on two Cable Car lines!

This place is excellent and has great deals on rooms. Especially in the winter time. The views of San Francisco are extraordinary. Trolleys can get you up and down the hill near the pier, Chinatown, and Ubers are very inexpensive to get to what you need around the city. Strongly recommend the intercontinental.

It’s old and tired. We stayed a week on the third floor and the hot water was tepid both in the am and pm. Work out equipment is old and several were inoperable. The people were all lovely!

The hotel is beyond old and aged It should be a 1 star hotel Nothing in the room; no bottle of water, no toiletries, no enough towels…. At night it is so noisy as people gather at the street and stay up late The staff at the counter at the time of check in wasn’t welcoming

The hotel is located in the most beautiful area of the city. The property is classy, elegant and very well maintained. The restaurant serves delicious breakfast choices and the bar on top of the building is iconic. I highly recommend it!

Great location.

I love historic hotels that are well kept. My wife and I had drinks at Top of the Mark on our honeymoon, and it was fun to be able to do that again 35 years later. Our room was very nice, and the room rate was a good value for a hotel of this caliber.

Hotel is in a great location, staff are very friendly and helpful. Gym is in bad condition unfortunately and is in need of repairs.
