A very nice and friendly staff. The room did not meet the standards that would be expected in such an upscale Resort. The room didn’t look or feel clean. The carpet was obviously dirty. The shower leaked all over the floor and my husband almost slipped. The bedding didn’t look very clean. We slept with our own linens. Very disappointed. My husband and I were there just for an overnight getaway and didn’t want to spend it dealing with staff over that room so we just complained on check out. For the amount of money we spent, was not acceptable. We will not be going back to the hotel. The restaurant on the property was fantastic.

Very Nice Resort

I didnt get the room I booked. I booked a rok. With a partial view of the pool and didnt get that. The toilet paper in the room was of low quality for a luxury hotel. Victor the server at the Rockwood restaurant was top notch. Toilet seat is too high for anyone under 6 feet. One can barely touch the ground. Service was excellent.

Really nice place but we got here and the system was down and the only reason we came was for the boat ride. We understand things happen but they should have sent out an email to let us know we waited so long to finally get in to your room. But I must say extremely great service the staff was amazing.

I didn't like the fact that they just let anyone come to the property and use the pool area. Also, my room overlooked the lobby, which made it very hard to sleep at night due to the noise.

Quiet rooms. A bit of music while at the pool but expected. Convenient location to palm desert and the entire valley. Yes, a bit expensive but the cost for maintaining gorgeous grounds.

Beautiful lobby and hotel grounds. Rooms are updated but still seem a little rundown for some reason. Not awful, but not what I normally expect from a JW property. The pool area really needs a refresh as well. Feels more like a theme park hotel than a luxury property. If you’re looking for a family friendly stay - this fits the bill. Lots of dining options to please everyone, thoughtful family friendly touches, and the boats are a fun feature. If you’re looking for a chill weekend in PS I would stay elsewhere.

The physical layout with the large atrium/lobby was very unique and appealing. Also the pool scene was large and accommodating. It was a nice overall layout that provided a good walkable experience. The dining options were good w/ 3 choices for dinner but really only 1 (not including Starbucks) for breakfast. The rooms were average and could use some updating. The shower/toilet enclosure was clunky and not very functional especially concerning the shower door as water leaked underneath the door consistently. Also the in room safe didn’t work

First and foremost I highly recommend this hotel. The grounds, staff, room accommodation are excellent! Our first time visiting and we had a fantastic time. Played 18 hole golf & the course was in great conditions, definitely worth it. If I had to say any constructive criticism it would be these minor issues: arcade/game room had about 1/4 of the games not working; and room service is pretty pricey.

It’s a fun property, though for the price we expected more. It was very loud the first night (until midnight), and we were there with three kids. The food and drinks were good but expensive. Parking was very crowded. Overall a good place to go just know what you’re getting yourself into.

This is a huge hotel! Beautiful property, tons to do with kids, and they really made things special for the holidays. Yhank you!

Pros: Property and grounds are lovely. Sunrises and sunsets can be seen from the pool view rooms. Staff were nice. It wasn’t packed so we had plenty of pool chair access. Cons: In our room (4253) the shower leaked out of the bathroom into the entryway. Every time. The bathroom and closet doors were squeaky enough to wake up my kids. The bathroom has frosted glass doors next to the tub that open up right next to the bed. So if someone needs to use the bathroom in the night, the light from the bathroom also lights up the bedroom area. Also, the sound carries well from the bathroom. So if you’re hoping for a little privacy (audibly) on the toilet, forget about it. This is a HUGE place which is good and bad. Lots of walking is fine. If you’re at the pool and forgot something in your room, you’re gonna be awhile. The elevators down go to the upper floor/s of all the areas. So if you’re on floor 6 at one end of the hotel you’ll be zigzagging to get there every time. The $45 daily resort fee isn’t worth it. The food is very expensive and not very good. We left the hotel to eat for every meal except lunch at the pool once and Starbucks in the mornings. Summary: If you have a young family and want to keep it simple and not have to go anywhere, this is a good place for you. Lots of families and lots of kid stuff and restaurants on site. Also good for tennis players and golfers. If neither of these are you, I recommend you stay elsewhere.

One word “Amazing”

We had an amazing trip. The staff was amazing, property extremely clean and food and drinks delicious.

Every time we tried to go to one of their 5 restaurants, they were closed. When we were able to find something to eat on the property, it was extremely overpriced, and poor quality. They did have Starbucks, that helped. We liked the golf course access, and it’s a nice looking resort.

Good environment

This property was excellent especially with all the available activities! The grounds were well taken care of and the staff was friendly and professional. There was an arcade, multiple pools, boat ride, and holiday activities which we participated in. We enjoyed the open access to the tennis courts and pickle ball courts.

Too loud at night. Can hear everything from your room because of the design of the hotel.
