La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Columbus West - Hilliard

I'm confused about all the wonderful reviews. For $10 more per night, we could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. The man who checked me in was pleasant and helpful. As soon as he told me about the back door being difficult though, I knew this was not going to be great. The beds were uncomfortable, you fell into a divot, everything was "picked up" not clean. There were 2 stained, wet towels folded in the batbroom. Hair in different places and they certainly had not deep cleaned anything, ever. The pool was right next to our room so that echoed into our room. After the first night our door stopped closing unless you SLAMMED it shut and then locked it fast. Oh, and im pretty sure the housekeeper was setting our alarm. The first night it went off at 4am. I shut the alarm off. The next night after they had been in our room, the alarm went off at 6am. Odd & frustrating! Our bathroom smelt like weed the entire time too. Overall it did the job for the quick stay, but I wouldn't stay again.

Perfect, here for work

This property charges fees and deposits for licensed service animals, which is a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and room 125 reeks of cat pee. Other than that, it's a mid-hotel in need of repairs.

Friendly staff & great location

Great Motel- Clean , Great Staff , Easy check in and Check out. Awesome breakfast. Location was perfect off the Interstate and had a Culver's resturant right accross the street . Nice and Quiet - Great Sleep after being on the road all day

The Property is ok but a little overpriced for what it really is. The room carpet is dark gray and there no way to tell if it's been cleaned thoroughly. The AC was not cooling and leaked water to the carpet.

Loved the heated pool! And the staff was friendly. Beds were pretty comfortable and the room was spacious.

Very nice hotel. We have stayed here several times as they allow pets. Clean rooms, nice breakfast, friendly customer service. Perfect for our needs!

Really disappointing stay. The property is very dated and hasn’t been deep cleaned in a long time. Just felt so grubby, I even was checking for bed bugs because it just didn’t feel clean. The shower had chipped paint and rusty drains. There was dust everywhere, stains on the walls, damaged light fixtures… it all needs to be replaced. I’ve stayed at La Quinta before and it was super clean and well kept, but I guess it really varies. This one felt more like a run down motel.

The stay was perfect, the check-in staff was great. However, when it came time for checkout, there was no one in sight. I wanted to tell them that the door handle in my room was malfunctioning, and that the water pressure kept changing.

Dry clean and cozy room, polite staff, lather room than expected, soft beds.

The overall experience was incredible. The staff were friendly and accommodating and took such good care of the building. The room was clean and far more than we expected. The only bad experience we had was the Saturday when the hotel was suddenly full. That afternoon our 3rd floor filled with the smell of pot, like overwhelming and carried over into our room. That evening it was intensified, and now included the heavy smell of cigarettes. Though it was raining we had to keep a window open most of the night to be able to breathe. Though I thought the rooms were non-smoking (and wouldn't that include pot?) someone(s) thought otherwise. We didn't say anything because we didn't know how your staff could determine where it came from.

Nice staff, convenient location to dining options, and other stores. Comfortable beds as well. The price for the hotel was also very reasonable.

Very noisy

Not enough attention to detail; especially considering the price. The tub had a sticker on it with who knows what the other was. The shower curtain was taped up and the robe hook on the door looked like it could fall off. We had to get the desk clerk to come up and fix the TV; in which she did. She was also kind enough to make me a fresh pot of coffee. So no issue with the desk clerk. Like I said, too much money for a room with no eye for detail.

I do think my refrigerator was going out. Other than that my stay for work was wonderful. The one cleaning lady did not like me getting mud everywhere which I did apologize for. The location of the hotel has a lot of blue collar workers coming and going!

The first room we were given smelled like weed and Febreze. It was so overpowering and we asked for a different room. The front desk staff was super nice and accommodating and gave us a new room, but there was no bathroom vent and a very strong mildew smell.

Great service

Clean comfortable and quiet with a great breakfast buffet; The gal that checked me in late at night even offered to move her vehicle so I could move closer and avoid parking next to the dumpster in the back. Security in the lot made me feel safe about leaving my vehicle and room was very comfie
