Magnuson Hotel Virginia Beach

Will never choose this place again. Roaches & dirty. The advertisement of Executive, Business rooms are false. Front desk could not explain the difference. No complimentary drinking water. No iron/ironing-board, and the room stinks! I asked for a refund , they offered me another room; if my room had roaches the room next door would have it too. Will not be returning there.

I didn’t like anything about the property come outside to go to eat the property full of people buying drugs smoking weed drinking outside people running in and out. It was unsafe we didn’t feel safe plus it was a mouse. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone this supposed to be for me and my husband honeymoon Absolute disaster

It is not very clean. A lot noise.

Awful, dirty smelly room was beaten up rubbish in communal areas bins overflowing bin in room still had previous occupants rubbish in it lobby stunk didn’t even stay the night booked somewhere else I wouldn’t stay here if the owner paid me to

Well I liked the room and the pool and the customer service but too much crazy stuff happening through the night outside the hotel with other people staying at the same hotel a lot of noise and people staying there or not staying the up at all hours of the night but I liked the receptionists they gave smiles and didn’t give an issue about me asking for an hour extension to check my room but the hotel has too much traffic and drama not in involving the employees that have to deal with it

Ice machine didn't work. That was not good because I love ice

The pictures shown on the booking page are false advertisement. The room looked nothing like the images shown online. I booked a non smoking room and received a smoking room. When I brought this up to the attention of the attendant she said nothing else was available. The exterior is very old and unclean. There’s even a section that looks like it was previously in a fire and no reparations have been made. Very disappointing

I did not even stay. After checking in at the hotel, I headed to my room, and there were some shady and scary people lurking around, which made me feel uncomfortable. The room was not up to par; the bed barely had any sheets, and the bathroom was not well maintained. I checked out of there within 30 minutes of being there after finding another hotel to stay at.

This hotel shouldn't be on your website 😱 Desk attendant - friendly; security fully armed with vest; 5 cars 5 rooms attended; front lobby had boxes along the walls; my non-smoking room smelled of old smoke and mold; cover to air conditioner missing and had brown stuff on vent; big hole where smoke alarm should be (is a camera up there!?); big blue tarp on roof from a fire; man walking grounds with no shirt and shorts hanging half off.

Worst hotel ever, bathroom door can't be locked, the faucet at the sink moves when you open it. I almost had a break in but I put a towel on my door. When I woke up, the towel moved, indicating an attempt for a break in. I had to push the chair onto the door so that no one could comeToilet was insanitary, and when it flushes, it gets everywhere. Booked a non-smoking room but the stench of smoke was there. I couldn't sleep well, and I even have asthma so it's kinda worse. I didn't even bother using the blankets. Towels smelled so bad, it reeks of cigarettes. Yeah it was pretty bad. Avoid this place at all costs :( the only good thing about this place was the concierge to be honest. If I could give it a rating of a zero, I would.

We were disappointed with the room. But were able utilize it anyway. It could have been worse...but we won't stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is filthy with trash and cigarettes all over the balconies and steps to hotel. The rooms are dirty and reeked of smoke causing my husband asthma to flare up as well causing me not to be able to breathe very well. The was no fire alarm or smoke alarm in the rooms.

Staff impossible to deal with...made a reservation for a family funeral and staff was un-compassionate when we requested a cancellation due to duplicate reservations being made for other family circumstances and needs.

Trash around property. People hanging around yelling outside my door with young children crying. No bedspread just sheets. Unclean bathroom One towel No hair dryer. Room felt unclean and and unsafe.

Its a terrible place to stay

I paid for a non-smoking room and it definitely smelled like smoke.

The restroom had blood on the walls

Staff was friendly & helpful, pool was clean, room was clean.

The room was not healthy, with no phone, no internet access

Smelled in the room. Shower wouldn’t drain. No fresh linen or towels. Very outdated and did not look like the photos
