Marriott's Ocean Pointe

Easy beach access. Expensive to rent beach chairs. Nice family friendly property. It was hard to find parking after 7pm.

Great service and so many amenities for a self-contained vacation in which you don’t need to leave the property

The room is not a partial view of ocean. It was totally a view of the parking lot. SCAM! The hotel put us next to elevator where all the noise was!! Ripe off for that price!! Refused to correct or move us.

The check in process was terrible. Check in was supposed to be at 4:00 pm. After a long wait we were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 5:30-6:00. They booked us into another room. Our original reservation was a villa with a partial view. Which is not what we would have received if we were willing to wait. As it turned out the second room provided the partial view. I will say the property is fantastic.

Lots of space. Living room. Bedroom. Fully stocked kitchen. Great convenience store on property. Island is kind of boring though. Great place for extended families to stay.

PRO: Options are limited in Palm beach for a beach front hotel with Ocean View. We found Marriot Ocean Pt just north on the end of Singer Island. We were in the Kingfisher unit on the south end of the complex. The property is up to date, clean, beautifuly landscaped. We had easy access to the pool. Each building in the complex has one. Kingfisher also has a Tiki bar and activities are organized around the pool areas. You have full access to the grounds and amenities at the other buildings as well. There are events for the kids and a miniture golf. There is a store on the property in the main building, that serves small breakfast items, ice cream, beer/wine/soda/water/sun screen. The Oceanpoint is run like a hotel, but is really a time share property. While we were contacted, there was no requirement to sit in on the presentation as a condition of the reasonably priced room stay. They offer a $250 gift card, but we declined the offer. Our room was a standard hotel room with a King bed and a sofabed (queen) that the kids slept on. The room was up to date and clean. It opened up to a small balcony for 2 with a table and chairs. The intercoastal inlet to the ocean was right there. CON: You are limited in dining. There is a strip mall 3 mins away with 4 dining options. All are the Bar/Grill Tiki bar type, plus a wok/sushi place. The area off Singer I, Riviera, is not a good area. So you will need to drive 25 mins into Palm Beach for other options.

This hotel, which has a high rate and is considered a 4-star hotel, does not offer beach chairs or parasols. This service is provided by another company and you have to pay separately for it. The room was clean and confortable. The service at check-in was bad, the person who attended to us was bad-tempered and did not give clear instructions about parking or how to get to the room, considering that our room was in another building outside the lobby area.

Staff is not always available

After having the hotel switch our room (Oceanfront room with view of roof - 1st floor) to a 2nd floor room where we could then see the ocean, our stay was nice. The room was very nice, however, when filling the bathtub, the water had a yellow tint to it. It did not look clean. We drank bottled water, and use it for cooking as well. All else was very good.

Beautiful ocean view. Is under construction on some floors in the Pompano building but was absolutely no inconvenience. Very clean and quiet. Will stay again!
