Very clean hotel , fast and convenient staff . Had great dining options with attached restaurants between hotels really dont have to leave hotel. Get ocean view by marine and very close to downtown Miami and Miami heat arena. Will definitely return.

Great views

The hotel remodel is nice. We had stayed here once before. It is so close to the cruise ship terminal and has good taxi service. The restaurant/ bar on the main floor was good, and the marina is right outside the restaurant door. We had one problem with a gal at the restaurant desk when we went to breakfast. I said our breakfast was included in our Expedia reservation and showed her a copy of our reservation that clearly stated the fact. She stated she was sorry, but our name wasn’t on her list and we would have to go to the front desk. We sat down and were eating when a waitress heard of our concern and looked at our copy from Expedia. How sweet she was! She said she would clear it for us as it was clearly stated on my copy. She was one of those wonderful employees who go above and beyond. I suggest you always carry a copy of your reservation. Expedia had everything we needed.

Check in was quick and easy - had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious.

Housekeeping was a little lacking. Couldn’t use phone sometimes to get assistance & had to go to lobby instead…a little inconvenient

A good experience

I’ve traveled extensively, and this was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was unfriendly, grumpy, and unmotivated—far from the hospitality expected in this industry. Hotel is outdated, with thin walls that allowed us to hear everything happening in the neighboring room. The entire property, including the pool and amenities, felt neglected and in decay. The $35 destination fee is poorly justified, as it can only be used in their restaurants. The Gold Coast restaurant is consistently dirty, with an unfriendly hostess and understaffed service. Despite having a reservation, we waited 20 minutes to be seated. The food was average at best and overpriced. On one occasion, after waiting too long for silverware, my wife grabbed some from an empty table. Shockingly, the restaurant manager yelled at her, claiming she should have asked a server—despite us having already done so. This was appalling and unprofessional. We paid for a bay-view room but were given a partial view dominated by the adjacent building. The hotel blamed the booking agent and refused to assist, despite our agent contacting them multiple times. Housekeeping was another issue. After requesting service around noon, we returned to find the room untouched. The front desk informed us housekeeping only works until 2 PM. Even basic amenities failed—such as the broken parking lot exit machine, which remained unrepaired for three days despite complaints. I would never recommend this hotel.
