Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Middletown

Lobby overwhelmingly smelled cigarettes. Property being used as temporary section 8 housing.

Check in was extremely slow and I filled out the Microtel pre-check in via the text that was sent by Microtel which said to do it to speed up the process. Also I felt unsafe as multiple drug addicts hanging around and making noise late into the night. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the lobby.

In my entire life this was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. Dirty, broken room phone, extremely noisy, hall carpeting dangerous and filthy, outside doors broken, barely functioning TV. Bathroom sink cracked and filthy. Toilet seat not properly installed. Poor lighting in the room. Mattress very hard and lumpy. Pillows lumpy. Had to bri g in my own. No luggage carts available or working. Just a total horrow show. Not even fit to be a pig sty. When I complained to Wyndham about it, they asked me to leave. I will be suing the hotel and Wyndham for violating the Americans with Disability Act and for abuse of a senior citizen. Nobody should ever be sent there by Expedia. I will also be working to have Wyndham remove their branding. The only plus is that the staff were very pleasant and helpful

Basic rooms, no frills, outdated, high rates

I was staying in a handicap room and the room itself was mainly accessible but the room was located at the end of the hallway and the entire hallway was carpet and was very challenging to roll the scooter down. Also the doors have no automatic opener so getting in and out of the hotel was challenging by myself as I was traveling solo

There was hair and dirt behind the bathroom door.

Old and unkept

Property was convenient for what I needed for that night. Its pet friendly so all night you hear dogs bark and cry.

Did not like the adjoining rooms, hanging out around the property.

Hotel was incredibly expensive ($400 after taxes) & in very poor condition. I felt like I was in a no-tell motel rather than a proper hotel by Wyndham. The room was filthy, the heating unit stunk, one of the beds was so saggy and creaky that it woke the other person up with every movement. There were no tissues, no table lights, the floor was sticky, every corner was filthy, the sink leaked, the hair dryer was too dirty to use, & the toilet smelled of urine. The room had recently been painted (a fine example of putting lipstick on a pig), and paint had been dripped and brushed literally everywhere - even on the top of the ice container (ice, btw, available only on the 1st floor.). The wall behind the door handle was caved in, and the TV was stuck on top of the closet at such an angle that it looked like it was going to fall off. The evening check-in person was very kind, respectful, but the morning staff seem to be disinterested in my concerns and had a response for just about everything, including "oh yeah, we've been out of tissues for a while". I couldn't fault the hotel for the horrible behavior of a youth hockey team that ran rampant up until after midnight. The breakfast was absolutely minimal, the least I've ever seen anywhere ... But the coffee was good. And other than that, it was really expensive - Over $300 a night! Avoid this place.

Are stay was great wish pillows were a little better, and also wished there was atleast 1 extra blanket

The front desk person needs training no people skills , the TV in the room couldn't connect the bed was terrible I was amazed this was a Wyndham property for me this was a 2 Star property.

Nasty staff. Nothing was in the room. No coffee maker, phone didn't work to remote didn't work. Not clean well. Breakfast was a joke. Did not worse money.

Check in was very slow. One person with a long line who was also going to and from the front desk helping other guests. Not good.

Convenient location.

I traveled for a wedding. It was just for one night. I did enjoy my stay. A staff member by the name of Ethan was very very helpful. I don’t know if he was the manager but he should be. I got a room with no microwave or fridge but that was ok because it was just for one night.

I was surprised that there was no refrigerator in our room. It wasn't a really big deal to not have it, but it was a little odd to me. Usually hotels at least have a refrigerator. But if you're looking for an affordable and clean place to stay for a night, we've always been satisfied with a Microtel.
