Motel 6 Palm Springs, CA - Downtown

Rude staff, uncomfortable bed and pillows, didnt have room i reserved

It is what one should expect from a low cost motel chain. Two pillows, very thin “blanket”, the hand towels were like sandpaper. The bath towels were softer but small. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly enough.

The room was dirty, sticky stuff all over the table and floor, mold around the heat/AC vent.

The motel is a disaster. No housekeeping staff, guests couldn't check in as no rooms were cleaned. Sent to a dirty room after waiting 3 hours. Finally got a room around 6:30 pm which was partially cleaned. Staff ( untrained kids) at front desk actually running to see if room was actually cleaned. Little maintenance done, only 1 elevator operating, heat not working, toilet clogged. Avoid this place!

No coffee machine in the room. Charging $5 for parking !!!

We had no hot water for two days. Made numerous trips to front desk and was told it would be taken care of finally late on third day it was fixed.

With a baby and a toddler, it was a big deal to me that the hotel did not have a clean room ready for us at check-in time of 3pm. We had to wait till almost 5pm before we would check in, which was hard.

We got there around 3pm and was told the room was not ready. Then was told to come back in an hour! The room was ok for the price you paying, But the door could not be closed without slamming it. When we came back the second day of sightseeing, our door cards did not work. Felt unsafe with these door problems.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Towels you can barely wrap around your body. Sheets and bedspreads from the 1970s thin and scratchy. Hard bed. Rooms so small two beds can hardly fit inside. Shower head that is anbout 5 feet high so you have to bend to get your hair wet. Inches of space between them.. $5 to park your car in a hotel at the edge of town? I’ve stayed at some decent motel 6 hotels and this is not one of them. Whoever owns/runs this hotel does not care the tiniest bit about the guest experience. And all for the bargain price of $200 a night.

We got at the hotel around 8pm. We check in and to my surprise they don’t accept Apple Pay , neither the website said it so I had to drive to get cash. When I went inside the room , the room was still dirty, the shower dirty, the floor wasn’t even mop or insist. They had the heater on so the room was hot and stuffy. I stayed two nights, unfortunately. Saturday night , our key dint worked so I had to go to the office and tell them. The worse is that they allowing homeless to stay around the facility, also they are walking an inside the hotel and trying to open the sores. No security guards , no management around. And to top it off the next door people they started to fist fight and scream match. Two days or horrible and dirty environment . For sure I would NEVEr stayed here.

It would be impossible to sleep without ear plugs as "residents" on either side of our room seemed to have drinking and/or substance issues. They were vocal and loud all day, all night, there was also a dog in one of the rooms.

The property was quieter and cleaner than expected. Pool looked very well taken care of.

This hotel must of used fake photos. The room was dirty, the floor was stained with some pink stuff and a horrible smell came out of the heater when it came on

The HVAC Chiller was "out of order." I was refunded for my stay then booked a room at other Motel 6 nearby.

A lot of homeless around. They come knocking at the door.
